Edmontonion here; Right smack dab downtown after being stuck in the middle of nowhere for a while.

My passion was recently rekindled after a 3-4 year downtime; Luckily I still happen to have 2 skirts and two JSK's left in my closet. (But that's it - So if any of you ladies have any blouses for sale...)

I'm Gothic/Classic style; Punkish when I'm not really in the mood to dress up.

Really seems like the place has died down a lot over the past couple of years.
Have you guys migrated to another social networking site for your arrangements or are things just really quiet? (If so - We need to breathe some life into things.)

Hello ladies!

My name is Maverick, I'm 23 years old, (yes, really haha) and I'm from Calgary. ♡
Though, I am planning to move up to Edmonton next year for school (again), and have lived in Vancouver as well and that, in fact, is where I picked up an interest in the style. I also have my own vehicle, so going to meets/meeting up with you ladies and figuring out what it's all about is definitely something I can do. :)

I can't say for sure yet that I am completely convinced being a lolita is for me, (especially since right now I can't afford to buy any nice dresses for myself) but I am currently more of a himegyaru/agejo/occasional vkei thrown in (but.. not so much ever mixed). However I like and appreciate all sorts of Japanese fashion styles, from the ornate to the hardcore street. But what I do know is that I would like to learn more about the community, make friends with some lolitas (and in general people who have a passion for Japanese fashion), high teas, cute cakes, cucumber sandwiches, and stepping out into the 'regular world' decorated in your own style and proud.

As far as lolita fashion goes, I definitely gravitate more towards the sweet. I love the pink and white and mint and white versions of dresses quite a lot. And I am the biggest fan in the world of bows. And sweets deco. ♡ Deco in general, really.

Two other things you may like to know about me is that I am huge into visual-kei/jrock, and BJDs. I have 2 dolls currently, with a 3rd on the way, and plans for a fourth. I used to have two others as well that I sold, one on the online doll community and one at Otafest this year. :) I can answer most questions regarding them, as well, if anyone is interested or wants to know more! (Or if you also have BJDs, drop me a line!)

I will also be coming up for Animethon in less than two weeks, and I'm crazy excited for that too! (Daizy Stripper ahoy~!)

Hiya, ladies!

I've seen some people interested in having a meetup at the Legislature building in Edmonton tomorrow. Personally I'm willing to brave the heat, since we have some new members and haven't had a proper meetup in ages.

So, is anyone else interested? The facebook lolita group seems to think that waiting until the weather is cooler would be a better idea. If anyone wants to meet tomorrow regardless of the heat, lemme know! I think having a picnic tomorrow would be lovely.
