hi to everyone!
i've just arrived to Baton rouge a week ago, i'm from russia.
reading local newspapers i've noticed that there are many rock bars here. but i'm interesting in one of them - red star bar. how i understood this place's content is usually indie and other unusual rock groups of Baton rouge, is it true? if yes, could u advice me some parties which i should visit that place in july and august?
i will be happy if anyone help me with that question.

p.s. maybe someone could rewrite me some sounds or some interesting groups of your city on dvd disks and i can take them to russia when i will go away. i very interesting in indie,post and electric rock of your country and city.

Better Than Ezra's new cd Before the Robots came out today and it's awesome!!! Everyone needs to go buy it if you haven't already. And they're gonna be at the Virgin megastore in New Orleans tonight at 6 pm for an acoustic show and a cd signing.

Here is something to relieve my own soul. I've been composing for months, actually years. I find inspiration from music I hear on the radio mainly, even if it isn't as independent as I would like it to be they sometimes play really good bad ass stuff. But here is one thing I have to say. They need to have a completely alternative metal station in Baton Rouge like the junk they play on 106.7 in N.O. When 104 the x started out, before they had Dj's , commercials and pretty much everything else that has made it seem like it is slowly beginning to deteriorate like every other radio station in Baton Rouge has until there aren't enough listners and buyers, whne eventually the station inevitably collapses. People began purchasing because of what you played on the radio in the first place, and because of how bad ass the radio station's reputation was for not playing a bunch of crap on the radio and being just simply in your face......that's what buyers want. I never understood why Baton Rouge have to have to always live up to it's sucky reputation of being so boring and giving into greed, respect the station first and later it will pay off.....it's really simple. We need better business entrepeneurs down here. That would give us more selections and more competition. I hope this Hollywood South thing comes through and revamps the economy for music's sake.
