Possibility of making more social sciences articles vital

Hello. Because you are a sociologist, I wonder what you think about making more social sciences articles vital and possibly increasing the limit of Wikipedia:Vital articles/Level 5/Society and social sciences/Social studies from 550 to 600. These are the articles I was considering:

• Peer group  (Peer pressure ◎ 4 is vital but not this)
• Accessibility  (I think this should obviously be vital)
• Social exclusion 
• Social alienation  (I don't know how much this overlaps with social exclusion and if both are necessary)
• Social support  (as distinguished from Social services , Social work ◎ 4, and Community ◎ 3)
• Social influence  (as distinguished from Social control ◎ 4
• Social learning theory  (I assume this is more important than other models of Socialization ◎ 4 but I might be wrong)
• Work–life balance 
• Group decision-making  or Consensus decision-making 
• Commodity fetishism  (is this going too deep into Marxist theory?)
• Ethnomethodology  (this was actually removed two months ago, but if the social sciences page expands, there will be room for this again)
• Reflexivity (social theory)  (this was actually removed two months ago, but if the social sciences page expands, there will be room for this again)
• Reciprocity (social psychology)  (I recently proposed adding Gift  which is not on the list. I think this is distinct enough from Altruism ◎ 4 to be vital)
• Peace and conflict studies  (field of study in a societal level, different from Conflict resolution ◎ 5)
• Sublimation (psychology)  (psychology topic - the psychology list emphasizes emotions and traits over other subjects)
• Democratic peace theory  (political topic)
• Proportional representation  (political topic)
• Coalition government  (political topic)
• Political syncretism  (political topic)
• Minority rights  (political philosophy topic)
• Indigenous rights  (political philosophy topic)

Can you think of any better choices to add than these? Also there was a comment from 2020 in which a user said:

I'm giving you the numbers in 4 subdivisions, the subpage should be divided into four pages. The numbers in brackets are the rounded current quotas or article counts: 1800 to 2000 would be adequate for each subpage.

• Law (600), Business and Economics (600): should be 1800- 2000
• Politics (200), Social issues, Organizations (250), War and Military (200): should be about 1500
• Ethnology and Anthropology (150), Sociology (50), Psychology (250), Society (200), Culture (100), Education (300): should be 1800-2000
• Communication (50), Languages and Linguistics (600), Journalism and Mass Media (850): should be 1800- 2000

Do you think this would be a better way to divide the sections than currently? I find it odd that sociology and anthropology are currently on separate pages, and that proposal would allow four sections: 1)Law and economics 2)Politics, organizations, and military 3)Social studies 4)Communication. ~2026-39700-91 (talk) 19:04, 22 July 2026 (UTC)
