The Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas – commonly known as the Angelicum – is run by the Dominican Order and traces its roots to the 13th century. Today, our faculties and institutes, grounded in faith in Jesus Christ and His Church, continue to seek truth and understanding in the Thomistic tradition. The Angelicum is the only pontifical university in Rome offering academic programs taught in both Italian and English. Students from all over the world come together here and become part of an academic community that is energized by rigorous study, shared faith, and strong friendships.
