Thousands of ex gold miners who suffered from silicosis sought compensation from mining giants for failure to protect their health. ACTSA worked in collaboration with the civil society organisation Justice for Miners and advocated for just compensation, which they were awarded.
Most women in Zimbabwe used to have access to sanitary protection, but the protracted economic crisis meant that products became scarce and ultimately unaffordable. Between 2004 and 2015 we provided over 7.5 million sanitary products to women in Zimbabwe.
