    WordPress Origin Story

    I chose WordPress in 2008 to host my first blog. After 5 years of use I started using Jekyll instead as I found it a better fit for simple websites. Years later and I’m back using WordPress for some of my client projects and find both WordPress and PHP delightful to use when compared to Node.

    In 2017 I gave a talk at WordCamp Ubud, cranked out a WordPress plugin and published the research used to create the talk on Hacker Noon: https://hackernoon.com/putting-wordpress-into-hyperdrive-4705450dffc2.
