Hello! I’m Hilay, a Senior WordPress and PHP engineer with 5+ years architecting enterprise-grade solutions on WordPress VIP for high-traffic global clients across media, publishing, and fintech. At rtCamp I build high-performance dynamic Gutenberg blocks and lead frontend performance initiatives for some of the largest publishing platforms in Canada, including a multisite network scoring 90+ on mobile and 99 on desktop Lighthouse.

My day-to-day spans custom plugin architecture, REST API design, WooCommerce, headless WordPress with Next.js and GraphQL, and performance-critical block development. I’ve led cross-functional engineering teams and owned full project lifecycles from architecture through post-launch incident response.

I’m a verified WordPress Core, Gutenberg, and Meta contributor with merged SVN changesets across Core, Gutenberg, and Meta, plus Trac tickets on PHP deprecations, coding standards, and accessibility. I’ve published and maintain RevisionBuster on WordPress.org with WP-CLI support, and contributed 150+ Gujarati translations for WooCommerce, Jetpack, LifterLMS, and Core. I’m also proposing a Unified AI Management Layer for WordPress Core: a first-class abstraction for consistent LLM integration across plugins and themes.
Beyond WordPress I build full-stack AI products, including CreatorNexus AI, a research SaaS with causal knowledge graphs, and Blog-to-Shots, a blog-to-video pipeline using Gemini and Remotion.

I’m pursuing an Executive Diploma in ML and AI from IIIT Bangalore.
