Hello! You should try and find a source that supports your changes. If you have trouble formatting it or other technical difficulties, I can help with that. But information on Wikipedia should be WP:Verifiable, meaning people should know where it comes from! Welcome to Wikipedia. —Ganesha811 (talk) 16:28, 19 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I don't really have much sources backing me but a Naga like me would certainly feel the same way like how I do because of the wrong information on the pie chart. I tried to find as much information as possible but couldn't find much backing me and most information are from 2001 to 2011 so it's all outdated. I'll tell you the changes required - the number of Bengali speakers must be at the 6th last place because the number of Bengali speakers is lower than Yimkhiung, Zeme-Liangmai-Rongmei (Zeliangrong), and Chang. It shouldn't be "Zeliang" instead it should be "Zeliangrong" because Rongmei Naga tribe (part of Zeliangrong) is also found in Nagaland. Thank you. Phohoshuu (talk) 08:54, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]
BERJAYA

You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

As per WP:CT/SASG, you are not permitted to edit pages on social groups until you achieve the extended-confirmed status. Thank you for your cooperation. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 16:59, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I joined Wikipedia only for the purpose of editing for my people, if I can't do that than what should I do? I have done so many edits for my tribe Liangmai in particular but now you have reverted most of my edits, when can I go back to editing for my people? Thank you. Phohoshuu (talk) 10:59, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
You are welcome to request changes on the talk pages, and allow other people to make the edits. If they tell you why certain edits cannot be made, you should surely learn from their responses. The purpose of the restriction to allow time for you to learn the policies of Wikipedia before you attempt contentious topics.
Other than social groups, there are plenty of topics you may be interested in. Geography, for example, towns, villages, rivers, mountains etc. Politics, history, current events etc. Once you start editing with an open mind, I am sure you will find lots of topics that interest you. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 11:36, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Actually nobody edits this Liangmai page, I checked the Liangmai page a few months ago and barely anything was written which is why I started writing more and more, also most of the information on Naga pages are outdated because most of the information comes from 2001 to 2011 so it can spread misinformation for people who are trying to learn about Naga people and tribes. If there were people who edited for us it'd be great but the problem is no one does that. Phohoshuu (talk) 16:44, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I will let you reinstate some of the content you have already written selectively, provided you take the WP:Wikipedia Adventure tour. You still can't add any more new content other than what you have already written until you get extended-confirmed. Is that a deal?
Please let me know when you have completed the tour. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 17:49, 22 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yes finished with the tour, I got two badges and yes alright the deal is sealed I'll just readd the culture, and villages on the Liangmai page and on the Inpui page, thank you. Phohoshuu (talk) 05:48, 23 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Great, congratulations! Remember that I have only agreed for you to selectively reinstate the content you have already added. No new content. And also, if you edit other social groups pages, you will still get reminded of the CT/SASG. All the best! -- Kautilya3 (talk) 20:38, 23 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yes thank you, I'll try to edit other subjects on wikipedia. Phohoshuu (talk) 06:08, 24 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Hi Phohoshuu! I noticed that you've made several edits in order to restore a version of Tamenglong district. The impulse to repeatedly undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure that you're aware of Wikipedia's edit warring policy. Repeatedly undoing the changes made by other users in a back-and-forth fashion like this is disallowed, even if you feel what you're doing is justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages in order to try to reach a consensus with the other editors involved. If you are unable to come to an agreement at Talk:Tamenglong district, please use one of the dispute resolution options that are available in order to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of repeatedly reverting other editors' changes can help you avoid getting drawn into edit wars. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 11:53, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

To enforce an arbitration decision, and for repeated violations of editing restrictions per WP:CT/CASTE on the page Naga people, you have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of 72 hours. You are welcome to edit once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block or other sanctions.

If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard, I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page.

EvergreenFir (talk) 16:42, 11 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes"). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."
