Australia’s track cycling and para track cycling team delivered another outstanding Commonwealth Games campaign in Glasgow, finishing with an impressive 28 medals – 10 gold, 10 silver and eight bronze – to once again establish themselves among the competition’s standout nations.
Australia’s weightlifting team has wrapped up a strong Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games campaign with one gold and two bronze medals, led by the history-making performance of Eileen Cikamatana.
The Australian athletics team achieved its goal of winning the most medals and most gold at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Their sensational haul of 12 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze, for 34 medals, was two more gold than Jamaica and 13 more medals than England. Four years ago in Birmingham, Australia won the most gold with 10 but was nine medals short of England overall.
