adored this game!! i'm planning to happily revisit and officially "beat" the game. it was so fun and different. it really put my detective skills to work trying to solve the riddles and, more importantly, really made me want to beat eugene every time

Is there a riddle for each clickable item in the house?

(+1)

Yep, one riddle per item!

Thanks for the reply! I have 44 riddles solved, but there are 46 items. Any suggestions as to how to get the last 2 riddles to appear? I haven't seen them (cabinet, ceiling light). I usually play the Hard level. Great game - it great to have a fun, quick ND game to play after work! :)

Oh dear, I've checked our code and you caught us--those riddles got left off the masterlist!

What a fun game! I’ve lost three times now, but I’m starting to catch onto the clues! Gollum would have eaten me for sure by now.

This was so great, I HAD to play multiple times to try to see all the riddles. And like another commenter also made a spreadsheet to track them! It's so impressive to come up with a riddle for every item in the game, I got to see all of them except the ones for Cabinet and Ceiling Light didn't come up in the shuffle sadly. Super fun game!

Thanks for playing! So glad you enjoyed the riddles!

Such a delightful game, I even made a spreadsheet to keep track of things!

(well-rounded has me stumped!)

Thanks for playing! I'm delighted that it inspired a spreadsheet.

Would you like another clue for well-rounded?

Yes please!!

This is so well done. I really enjoyed the writing and the humour. Some of the clues still have me stumped but I did win one time. Fantastic use of public domain art and music!

Thanks so much for playing, Mandy! If you'd like an extra hint, I'm happy to help.

ive never seen a sunny day but i make dark clouds go away has me stumped

(1 edit)

That’s probably the trickiest riddle in the game! Here's an extra hint.

Took a while - some of those clues were harder than I thought! And the "Nancy knows a thing or two about clocks" was a great touch <3

We had three difficulty levels of clues. Sounds like you got some 3’s!

Thanks for playing! I read two Nancy Drew books to prepare for writing in that style, and I came away with a real appreciation for Secret of the Old Clock.

Some gameplay fails and a smattering of critique ;)
