Launch Day Advisors

IT Services and IT Consulting

Buy-side advisory for selecting qualified digital vendors. The market needs better outcomes, not more vendors.

About us

Launch Day Advisors is a buy-side advisory that works exclusively for organizations selecting AI, software, and design service providers. We help clients evaluate the market, run structured partner selection processes, and contract with vetted digital vendors on favorable terms—based on current delivery capability rather than sales narratives or reputation. We are advisory only and do not deliver projects. The market doesn’t need more vendors—it needs better project outcomes.

  • Our founder Jonathan Blessing's first job in New York was as the BBC's Y2K coordinator for the Americas. He spent months preparing systems for a single night. The sun rose the next morning and Y2K was happily forgotten. 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀-𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲. The Economist this week called the sector resilient, citing growing headcount and strong revenue. But they're reading yesterday's scorecard, not tomorrow's roadmap. 📊 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 — the amount of code AI can process simultaneously — have expanded from dozens of pages to thousands in just the past year. The brownfield complexity that protects legacy systems today becomes irrelevant when AI agents can ingest entire codebases and trace every undocumented dependency. Revenue growth reflects contracts signed 12-18 months ago. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is what's being signed today, as one skilled developer with the right AI tooling starts doing the work of several. But when revenue compresses, margins tighten for your vendors. 📉 When margins tighten, behavior changes. Pressure doesn’t show up in the pitch. It shows up in delivery. ⚠️ AI reduces production cost. We do this by pressure-testing teams and scopes, normalizing estimates across vendors, and surfacing hidden risk so buyers enter contracts from a position of strength. 𝐖𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬. Our work is limited to matching projects with strong vendors—on terms that protect the buyer.🫡

Before we launch, it’s worth explaining how we got here. Over the fall and winter of 2025, I helped place three different digital projects for three different friends with best-fit vendors. In each case, the question was the same: 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴? In doing that work, a clear market need emerged. The problem isn’t vendor supply—𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝🌧️ —it’s vendor selection: 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘴. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐲 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫. Yet organizations routinely buy engineering and design services unaided, with limited visibility into real delivery capability. Launch Day Advisors was built to operate after budget approval and before a contract is signed—when decisions become expensive and leverage is about to disappear.
