Joshua Seftel

Joshua Seftel (Schenectady, 17 luglio 1968) è un regista, produttore cinematografico e sceneggiatore statunitense.

Biografia

Di religione ebraica^[1], Joshua Seftel è nato a Schenectady e si è laureato in letteratura francese presso l'Università Tufts nel 1990^[2]. Successivamente ha anche frequentato l'Università Columbia^[3].

Ha iniziato a lavorare come documentarista, realizzando i cortometraggi documentari Lost and Found e Old Warrior^[4]. Nel 2023 ha ricevuto la sua prima candidatura al Premio Oscar al miglior cortometraggio documentario per Stranger at the Gate. Nel 2026 ha ricevuto la sua seconda candidatura al premio, questa volta per All the Empty Rooms^[5].
