I propose redirecting because List of Tor onion services is a good redirect target. The article revolves around a single URL and has some generic information on Onion services that is already written elsewhere. Most sources are either primary or copies of the same article around the time of its introduction. PhotographyEdits (talk) 02:56, 17 May 2026 (UTC)

I propose redirecting to Article (grammar) because this is an essentially unsourced worse WP:CFORK. Most content is duplicative of the proper article section of the target. ~ A412 talk! 01:08, 17 May 2026 (UTC)

I propose merging to Duffields, West Virginia because this article is not well-sourced enough to be it's own article and has a large mention in the Duffield's article. The little references here can back up the claims on the Duffield's article. Wobs100 (talk) 00:55, 17 May 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Category:Television stations in the United States by metropolitan area
[edit]- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was: merge to Category:Television stations in the United States by metropolitan area. I found similar nominations lower down on its original page, some of which had third-party agreement. (non-admin closure) –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 03:08, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Redundant category Mvcg66b3r (talk) 03:50, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose. Nothing redundant about it. The metro areas are often combinations of different cities and other surrounding places. The category is a subcategory of Category:Mass media in the United States by metropolitan area. Mclay1 (talk) 08:14, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose (as creator): Categorizing by metros and cities seperately makes sense. If all the other noms pass, maybe this won't be needed but I don't want to presuppose the outcome of other nominations and, as long as we have both trees, they should have the appropriate parent categories. - RevelationDirect (talk) 13:35, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
- Reverse merge I do not think the exact city of broadcast matters. What matters is metro area.John Pack Lambert (talk) 19:59, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

Category:Anti-communist terrorist incidents
[edit]- Propose merging Category:Anti-communist terrorist incidents to Category:Anti-communist terrorism
- Nominator's rationale: upmerge for now. underpopulated category SMasonGarrison 12:35, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- Comment: I think one major point that needs to be resolved is the scope of Terrorist incidents categories. Should only specific incidents, i.e. the Badajoz massacre be included, or should the wider campaigns those incidents were a part of be included, i.e. White Terror (Spain)? Smasongarrison and Marcocapelle, what are your thoughts? I can populate it either way from there. Arctic Circle System (talk) 20:30, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Arctic Circle System: I would expect this to be about specific incidents only. White Terror (Spain) fits well in the parent category. Marcocapelle (talk) 03:32, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- Got it. That was the main thing preventing me from working on these categories. I can populate it from here then. Arctic Circle System (talk) 04:01, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Arctic Circle System: I would expect this to be about specific incidents only. White Terror (Spain) fits well in the parent category. Marcocapelle (talk) 03:32, 15 May 2026 (UTC)

- There are more than enough articles about massacres in the parent category, is there a specific reason why they haven't or shouldn't be moved to here? Marcocapelle (talk) 13:41, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Marcocapelle Frankly, I don't have the bandwidth to additional clean up after the category creator. If someone is willing to populate, it's probably fine to keep. But I think the bigger task is going to be the massive clean up in terrorism categories. SMasonGarrison 00:40, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
- @LateNightCoffee: generally, please do not create new categories unless you are willing to populate them at your best effort. Please populate the nominated category if you want to keep it. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:35, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Marcocapelle. Sorry. The nominator has told me not to populate the categories that she wants to delete. I want to populate them, and I wouldn't have created them if I didn't intend to use them, but I also don't want to get blocked from editing pages. Late Night Coffee (ping me) 17:13, 15 May 2026 (UTC)

Category:Roman Catholic bishops in Europe by former diocese

Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, GoldRomean (talk) 22:55, 1 March 2026 (UTC)- I don't understand what's supposed to be happening in this category. If someone was the Archbishop of Milan and becomes the Bishop of Rome, we don't categorize them as a former Archbishop of Milan, we just put them in an Archbishops of Milan category? I'm not sure what this is supposed to be doing? Jahaza (talk) 14:56, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Jahaza: this is about dioceses that no longer exist. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:11, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- I don't see the point of this category then. It's not defining that a person was a bishop of a diocese that no longer exists, it's a random intersection. The categories Archbishops of Anchorage is still a child of Archdiocese of Anchorage and a grandchild of Former Dioceses of Alaska, but Bishops of former dioceses doesn't seem to serve any purpose. Jahaza (talk) 21:19, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- That sounds reasonable, but it is a separate discussion that would also require nominating the target. Marcocapelle (talk) 09:00, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

Category:African artists
[edit]- Nominatorsl's rationale we lack Category:European artists; Category:European fashion designers; Category:European potters or Category:European women journalists. Splitting out just one continent like this is an inherent act of othering. It suggests that there is something special and exceptional about those in this continent that makes them different from the norm. I do not believe this is the message we want to send about Africa.John Pack Lambert (talk) 01:23, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- Merge Africa is a big continent with 55 countries and around 2000 languages. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 02:50, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
Category:African sculptors
[edit]- Nominator's rationle we do not have Category:European sculptors or Category:North American sculptors. If we are not willing to fully diffuse by continent then we should not diffuse by continent at all.John Pack Lambert (talk) 01:10, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
Redirects
[edit]Iwashi no agemono
[edit]Apparently, in Japanese, this redirect means "fried sardine". However, no such topic is both mentioned in the target article, nor is there any information about an affinity to Japanese. The closest topic I could find we're such a topic might be mentioned is Sardines as food#Japan, but this topic is not mentioned in that section or that article at all. (Sardines as food contains a few sections that reference fried sardines, but not in reference to their affinity to the Japanese language.) Steel1943 (talk) 02:51, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
Iwashi
[edit]WP:FORRED. This redirect is in Japanese, which is not mentioned in the target article. It seems an explanation of this term is present in Whitebait#Japan, but an explanation is also in multiple other articles as well in the same sense and explanation in terms of Japanese [1]. Unless there is a way to integrate the target's affinity to the Japanese language into the target article ... it may just best to delete this redirect to allow the search function to do its job. Steel1943 (talk) 02:48, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
MJ23
[edit]Not mentioned in target. Go D. Usopp (talk) 00:51, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- Weak Delete per nom. In the alternative, it could be added in the main Michael Jordan article - this would justify the redirect page's existence (MJ23). MJ23 is a notable and commonly recognizable "term" in reference to Michael Jordan, basketball fans who are searching or reading Wikipedia would certainly recognize. The only thing making me lean towards delete is the simple cut-and-dry rationale of it not being included in the main article. That's normally enough justification for deletion. HarvardJock🏫 (talk) 02:45, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- Retarget Mohegan Sun § Retail and dining. While this could refer to Michael Jordan in general, it seems more likely to particularly refer to the restaurant by the same name at the Mohegan Sun. Casablanca 🪨(T) 02:46, 17 May 2026 (UTC)

[edit]LLM-generated, see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Xenon℅Saturn_and_ArAr'Hani, and the creator is now indef'd. In particular, the main source used does not mention this compound. They created two drafts on the same topic, with the same sources but different content (unlike most duplicate drafts). –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 01:06, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete both per nom, one of the details that tipped me off to some sort of LLM problem (see my additional TNT-esque comments at the ANI thread). For the record, one of these was actually created in mainspace and I moved it to draft because of that referencing problem (something to be double-checked before it's mainspace-ready) before I realized how deep the LLM+sock messes were. DMacks (talk) 01:12, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete all. Really sad to see so many new drafts "written" using LLMs and those users doing it socking. I've seen it twice in the past week (if I'm not wrong) and I'm not even any type of reviewer. 🫀 Crash // Organhaver ( it / he | talk to me, maybe? ) 01:40, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
