Codenames AI is an AI-powered project that recreates Codenames with human spymasters and an AI teammate.
The AI interprets clues using semantic associations, cultural references, and contextual reasoning — without seeing unrevealed card identities.
Solo vs AI is the default: the AI Spymaster gives the first clue and number, and the AI Operative handles guesses on the board. In Two Player mode, you give clues as the human Spymaster while the AI Operative plays on your team.
The goal was not to create a perfect solver, but an AI teammate that feels believable, understandable, and fun to play with.
