Creating a bar chart
Hello everybody, in this module, we're going to be building our first bar chart, along with doing a lot of other things like working on colors, filters, formatting, and a bunch of other stuff. But this module is really just for learning the basics of how to use Tableau. So for this module, we're just going to be using a sample data set, but in all future modules we're going to be using real data and real data sets. So let's go ahead and get started. We're not going to be using this customer's Excel file that we had, we're going to be a CSV file. So we are going to not use this connection, we need to add another connection. And the file that we're actually working with is not an Excel file, it is a text file. Well it's actually a CSV file. Now in Tableau an Excel file refers to .xlsx which is a Microsoft Excel workbook.
