Have you ever wondered what makes virtual and augmented reality experiences feel incredibly real? Or what enables humanoid robots to understand their surroundings and movements with exceptional accuracy? 🤔   The answer lies in a silent, yet indispensable technology: MEMS sensors. Much like the complex senses that guide living organisms, these tiny, sophisticated devices serve as the foundational pillar, endowing machines with the crucial ability to perceive and understand their own motion and orientation.   At Bosch, we're driving forward numerous innovations in microelectronics and sensor technology. One example: Our BMI5 sensor platform. The different variants based on the platform are our most intelligent, accurate, and powerful sensor solutions to date, enabling, for example, a humanoid robot to find the right way, even if the camera lens is covered by an object. 🦾   Learn more about our sensor technology as an innovation field: https://lnkd.in/digpui4m

For tomorrow. Today. 💪 From automation to digitalization, from electrification to artificial intelligence – at Bosch, we are committed to shaping the trends of the future to create technology that is truly "Invented for life".   Did you know that we've registered some 6,300 patents in 2025, making us one of the most prolific patent applicants in Europe?   As presented by Bosch chairman Stefan Hartung today at our annual press conference, our 2025 business year has seen some remarkable innovations developed by Bosch associates worldwide, despite unfavorable and challenging geopolitical conditions. Take the area of AI and our Bosch AI Extension Platform, for example. In conjunction with an interior sensing solution, this AI-capable high-performance computer can enable a vehicle to recognize who's at the wheel and detect whether there are any other passengers on board. It then adjusts everything: from the exterior mirrors and vehicle handling to optimized airbag deployment in the event of an accident.   And we intend to continue with our full innovative strength in 2026! Explore more of our innovative solutions as part of our digital annual report: https://lnkd.in/ePfyxsg Read the full press release here: https://lnkd.in/dBCmC5VW

Bosch history with Marcus-George🔎: Finding the way forward. Remember the days of getting lost in a foreign city, fumbling with a large paper map? Bosch tackled this universal problem head-on with the development of the first series-produced navigation system, the TravelPilot. This innovation was made possible by the arrival of a powerful new storage medium: the CD-ROM. The introduction of satellite-based GPS in the mid-1990s marked the next leap, making navigation far more accurate and user-friendly. How can our home appliances become truly user-centric? 🤔 A team of associates at our subsidiary BSH Home Appliances India in Bengaluru is working on answering exactly that. Their tasks involve analyzing market trends, conducting user interviews, and observing behavior in UX labs and real households to identify underlying user needs. The results are then incorporated into subsequent product development for the Indian market. 👏 One example: research revealed that 14% of BSH target consumers in India regularly move their washing machines over 3 meters due to space or limitations in electricity and water connections. In response, BSH Home Appliances launched a washing machine with wheels and handles, that can be moved around just like a rolling suitcase, thereby improving quality of life at home.

🌿 The days grow longer, and so does the grass. As spring settles in across the Northern Hemisphere, the season of lawn care begins in many countries. 🌱 With our new Visimow robotic mower, getting the job done is simple – no boundary wires, navigation beacons, or external power sockets required. Here's how it works: 🧠 Thanks to our “SmartVision” camera technology with integrated AI, the mower can recognize grass by color and texture, while its ultrasonic sensors handle obstacle detection. It even distinguishes boundaries like patios, driveways, and raised beds. Two intelligent modes round out the experience: “AutoMow” keeps up with regular maintenance, while “SpotMow” focuses on any patches that need extra attention. Three-button presses and twenty-five seconds later, the Visimow is navigating your lawn on its own. 🤖 Discover more about the Visimow: https://bit.ly/Visimow
