reason for event cancellation

Motivation

[edit]

The new property is needed to link cancelled events (activities) with the immediate element of the reason for the cancellation. For example, a sports tournament was cancelled due to the war, and a film festival was cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic. --Mitte27 (talk) 02:43, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

BERJAYA SupportDo we also need "reason for event postponing"? Well very well (talk) 05:13, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
and how could we use this? Mitte27 (talk) 05:56, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In the same way, probably with a some qualificator for stating original planned date. We can use such property for e.g. movies/games release dates or 2020 Summer Olympics (Q181278). Well very well (talk) 08:00, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
BERJAYA Comment. Honestly, we should just use has cause (P828) or has immediate cause (P1478) under significant event (P793)cancellation (Q54806642) or rescheduling (Q64445414). Thierry Caro (talk) 20:47, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. -wd-Ryan (Talk/Edits) 00:49, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Thierry Caro Can you make your own example of use using as an example Q118948919? Mitte27 (talk) 03:11, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Wd-Ryan: Like this. Thierry Caro (talk) 03:24, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks. I like it. Mitte27 (talk) 12:39, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If no one else has other offers, then my proposal can be closed without execution. The filling method from user Thierry Caro suits me. --Mitte27 (talk) 12:40, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
