Motivation
[edit]The project Graceful17 aims to investigate the papal regimes of grace administered through the Apostolic Datary in the 17th century. By examining the extensive records of the Datary, the project seeks to understand how the papacy maintained its influence across Europe and beyond during a period often characterized by the rise of absolutist states.
It offers a wide range of information about people, places, institutions and events of that time.
