Bruce's Story
Bruce Gavan Morrow is one of Australia's football pioneers and represented Australia at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. Born in Wallsend, New South Wales, on 5 May 1936, Morrow enjoyed a remarkable playing career that spanned more than a decade.
At the Melbourne Olympics, Morrow was a member of the Australian football team and scored both Australian goals in the team's 4–2 quarter-final loss to India.
During his club career he scored more than 368 goals in league and cup competitions across New South Wales. His contribution to Australian football was formally recognised in 2005 when he was inducted into the Football Australia Hall of Fame.
