Congratulations to MassVentures START Grant recipient Nanopath on being featured as part of Massachusetts' 250th Birthday celebrations! 🎉 The company was selected alongside a group of MA-based organizations recognized for meaningful local and statewide impact. Founded by Amogha Tadimety and Alison Burklund, Nanopath is a diagnostics company pioneering the use of plasmonic biosensing to enable point-of-care molecular diagnostics for women's health applications. This is a well-deserved honor for a team pushing the frontier of science, technology, and healthcare. For 250 years Massachusetts has been home to innovation and we are excited for the breakthroughs still ahead.

Applications are now open for the 2026 Activate Planetary Health Green Ticket! Start-ups building at the intersection of hard-tech and biology across specific Activate Verticals are encouraged to apply—Activate Fellows and Alumni included. Founders School Company Spotlight: Neurapsyc Founded by Pranay Srivastava, Ph.D., Neurapsyc is a Greater Boston, Massachusetts-based company building a wearable home rehabilitation platform for stroke survivors. Drawing on a background in neuroscience and a deep commitment to improving recovery after stroke, Pranay founded Neurapsyc after recognizing that many stroke survivors struggle with uneven walking patterns that existing tools often fail to address, typically requiring ongoing clinical supervision. Neurapsyc's mission is to bring effective, guided rehabilitation directly into patients' homes — closing a gap that becomes more urgent as healthcare systems shift toward home-based care and measurable outcomes. 🔹 The Technology Neurapsyc's platform uses wearable sensors on each leg to deliver personalized cues that guide the weaker leg toward correction during everyday walking at home, with a clinician dashboard providing real-time visibility between visits. To date, the company has: - built a defensible intellectual property position around its core technology, - established an advisory network spanning leading research institutions, - and designed a feasibility study with infrastructure in place to begin clinical validation. 🔹 Recent Milestones Neurapsyc received a non-dilutive accelerator grant, is preparing a full NSF grant application following a competitive review, and was a finalist in Tufts CTSI's Innovate2Impact competition, a semifinalist in the Tufts New Ventures Competition, and a finalist in the MedTech Ahead Startup Program, presenting at Smith & Nephew. 🔹 What's Next Neurapsyc is completing its integrated functional demonstrator, launching its feasibility study, and exploring ways to support clinical validation and FDA pre-submission readiness.
