Identifying HPV infections most likely to progress to disease starts with the right test. In a recent webinar, Hologic Medical Director Dr. Kyle Bukowski, MD, FACOG explains how the Aptima® HPV Assay finds clinically active, high-risk HPV infections by targeting E6 and E7 mRNA. The assay detects all 14 high-risk genotypes, with a targeted approach to genotypes 16, 18, and 45, which are associated with up to 92% of HPV-related cervical adenocarcinomas, helping clinicians guide more precise patient follow-up. For years, Zamala Cortes lived with heavy bleeding and pain caused by uterine #fibroids. When she was told a hysterectomy was her only option, she sought a second opinion. That decision changed her care journey. Zamala discussed her symptoms, goals and treatment options with her doctor. Together, they chose a path that aligned with what mattered most to her. Her story highlights the power of shared decision-making: when patients and healthcare providers work together to choose care based on clinical evidence, personal goals and informed choice. Our employees are proudly wearing white to help raise awareness about uterine #fibroids — noncancerous growths that may cause heavy bleeding, pain and other symptoms that can severely impact a woman’s quality of life. Almost 80% of women will develop fibroids in their lifetime, yet many women suffer in silence or delay treatment. At Hologic, we want to help change that by encouraging more awareness, understanding and open dialogue. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped shine a light on this important women’s health issue. #FibroidAwarenessMonth #WearWhiteDay

Our Newark, Delaware team recently hosted a fun-filled Take Your Child to Work Day, followed by a sitewide luau celebration. About 60 children joined us for activities that brought Hologic’s work to life in creative and memorable ways. They learned about medical imaging by seeing X-rays of their toys, made origami swans to demonstrate the importance of instructions in manufacturing, and heard about how AI innovation is being used to support breast cancer detection. Thank you to everyone who helped create such a special day for our employees and their families. Events like this give the next generation of innovators a closer look at science, technology, manufacturing and teamwork — and remind us how much fun it can be to learn together. #WhyHologic #TakeYourChildToWorkDay

HIV testing remains central to diagnosing, monitoring and managing HIV over time. From understanding a patient’s status to tracking viral load, reliable diagnostics help clinicians guide care and support long‑term health. “It's really important to have that reliable test because that is a way for me to have that conversation with my patient — to ensure they are undetectable," said Dr. Ada Stewart, Lead Physician and HIV Specialist, Cooperative Health.
