I also noticed that in CoMaps I had a huge personal collection of pins in my local area that still weren't labeled in OpenStreetMap's official data. As it turns out, contributing that kind of data is easy. In fact, the very app I was using to navigate has built-in map editing features that automatically upload your changes to OpenStreetMap system. I was immediately able to start adding my knowledge based on what I know about the area I live in and places I visit.

Nous avons découvert totalement par hasard Organic Maps, un programme disponible sur iOS et Android. Un programme qui semblait avoir tout pour plaire mais certaines polémiques autour de ce dernier nous ont refroidi un peu. Par exemple se présente comme opensource mais la version proposée dans les stores n'est pas exactement la même que la version présentée sur GitHub !
C'est à ce moment que nous avons découvert CoMaps. Il s'agit d'un fork du précédent, c'est à dire une déclinaison du programme initial dont le code a été repris à un moment donné pour en tirer le meilleur et l'améliorer par la suite. Il s'agit donc toujours d'un programme totalement gratuit, opensource, basé sur des cartes communautaires, totalement fonctionnel hors ligne et donc dans le respect total de la vie privée. Certes il ne propose pas le trafic en temps réel mais quand on utilise rarement ce type de logiciel, que ce soit en voiture, à vélo, à pied ou même pour certains transports en commun, il est vraiment génial. </blockquote>

CoMaps basiert auf Organic Maps und setzt auf das Kartenmaterial von OpenStreetMap.
