BIOGRAPHY:
Dominic Farrenkopf was born in Hamilton, MT in 1978 and grew up in Victor, MT. He graduated Stevensville High School in 1996. After high school he served for four years in the US Coast Guard. Mayor Farrenkopf lived a few other places afterwards, but returned to Hamilton when he married Hannah, his high school sweetheart, in 2004.
Mayor Farrenkopf works full-time as the Associate Administrator at Sapphire Lutheran Homes. He has worked in senior care settings for 19 years. He and Hannah live in Hamilton with their four dogs and two cats. They have no children.
Mayor Farrenkopf works closely with the Department Heads of the City as their Executive to collectively operate and improve the City of Hamilton. Mayor Farrenkopf also works with the City Council, carrying out their Legislative decisions and maintains a good relationship with the City Judge and his staff as they run the Judicial Branch of Hamilton’s municipal government.
Mayor Farrenkopf embraces his elected office as a public servant. He is deeply involved in our community and an active participant in the social fabric that is Hamilton. He reads and teaches poetry in the schools, operates his dunk tank for a variety of charitable causes, emcees and appears at fundraising functions, is a 4-H cowboy poetry instructor, and volunteers his time whenever he can. Mayor Farrenkopf also dresses up for holiday occasions appearing around town as the Leprechaun, Easter Bunny, Thanksgiving Turkey, and Santa Claus.
