Diet and Integrative Therapies
Eating in a way that emphasizes a variety of whole foods and is nutrient dense supports an anti-inflammatory lifestyle. It can be confusing with what to eat, though, but I hope this article helps! Comment and let us know, how has the diet piece of IBD been for you? https://www.bezzyibd.com/discover/diet-and-nutrition-ibd/health-how-to-figure-out-which-ibd-diet-is-right-for-you/?utm_medium=share

Hi! My son was diagnosed with Crohn's and IBS 4 years ago. He is going to be 25 and I'm trying to help him find a path to good health coverage to move towards once he's no longer on our family plan. As you can imagine, this idea/switch is causing much anxiety. Can anyone share good plans and/or options for him to explore? Or point me to the right group if I'm in the wrong place. TY so much! Kindly, CC

I had gotten so sick that same hospital would not help me and I had been sick throwing up and in excruciating pain i never hospital hopped so I switched hospitals which was a mistake but was the only other hospital I had to go to at the new hospital after the first 2 ER visits the doctors every one of them that treated me and the ER did the same thing the other ER did only much much worse. Thankfully now i have a good doctor and there's a doctor here or there in the ER when they first walk in don't want to believe me until they find out how dehydrated I am. But that's few and far between having a doctor like that thankfully. Also on November 14th, 2017 shot by my father 10 times from the shoulder up i have so much metal in my head I'm like a cyborg lol. Then in January of 2021 I had my first surgery i woke up around night shift nurse so around 7:00pm the day I had surgery surgery i asked for my pain medicine she brings me a 5mg roxicodone after removing approximately a foot of intestines out of me i said I haven't had my other pain medicine yet she said that's all the doctor wrote you i said I need you to call the on call doctor and she refused me I still had a catheter in me and wasn't even supposed to get up to go to the bathroom much less slinging myself from the pillow at the head of my bed, which was only slightly up at maybe a 35° angle if that, to my lap in so much pain that was a pain i had never experienced before and I suffered all night I was pooping blood all over myself the tech and nurse were so hateful to me pushing me to roll me over to clean up the blood off of me the doctor came in about 4, 5, or 6 the next morning and said that roxicodone wasn't enough then prescribed me morphine i had had a major surgery and was hospitalized for 6 days. Now instead of having diarrhea for 17 years like typical Crohn's now i get constipated very very badly and now it's atypical. (continued on next post)

Hello hope all of you reading this and not reading this on this app are well. I have had a rough life with my Crohn's Disease I was diagnosed in September 2004 I'm 39 now I was 17 at the time of the diagnosis. I actually got real bad sick towards the end of April 2004 or first of May 2004 I did not even get to graduate because I had gotten so sick I couldn't finish the last two weeks of high school (After the shooting from January 2019 through December 2023 I got my high school diploma not GED my Associates of Science and my Associates of Arts). I was very bad off sick for 5 months or so throwing up over and over and in so much pain I could barely stand myself. I forced myself to drink water and eat knowing I would end up throwing it up water was the easiest thing to throw up so that's all I drank. The hospital ER I went to I would go sometimes 2 and 3 times a day several times a week but they treated me like i was just a drug seeker when I was truly sick. What ended up happening is i went to, at the time, a small town doctor he checked my blood pressure laying down then he wanted me to sit up in had to lean on my fiance at that time but have since divorced thankfully he was mentally and physically abusive. Then he wanted me to stand up when I went to stand up next thing I knew was the doctor, my future mother in law, and fiance hands were holding me just inches from the floor. He demanded to know why they hadn't took me to the hospital and they told him they had and the hospital ER would not do anything for me. He left the room and called that hospital let's just say an ambulance came and picked me up and the took me to the hospital and they admitted me. Then I got diagnosed i had good doctors at that hospital but for 5 or 6 years the ER continued to treat me so badly they would not help me and would not contact my doctor and were hateful to me and called me a liar.
