Words to Live by...Truth

When circumstances in our lives overwhelm us and we don't know what to do, go to Jesus Christ, he is the one that will guard us from our troubles and fears. He will lift us up and carry us through these trouble times.

He will surround us with his love and protection.

He sees our struggles and set us up on higher grounds.

He is my strength, in Jesus Christ I put my trust, His truth will lead us and show us His ways.

"Who can understand his errors?

cleanse thou me from secret faults."

Psalms 19:12

The one that knows all things will lead and guide you to the place where you belong. He is our refuge in these times of trouble.

Heavenly Father, help me today to live holy unto you, one that honors you in everything that I do.

Words to Live by...Grateful

"When you have eaten and are satisfied,

praise the Lord your God for all the 

good land he has given you."

Deuteronomy 8:10

When Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt to the land God had promised them, he urged them to thank God for all he had blessed them with.

Sometimes we are so blessed that we forget  where our blessings come from. We enjoy our blessings but we can forget that it is God that gives them to us and we begin to thank we deserve them. 

No matter how small or large our blessing, it's not that we deserve it, it's because of who God is, not ourselves, we should always give thanks to the giver for his gift of Love. 

Today I am thankful God has given me another day and has showed me his love and mercy.

In all things, not matter if it is good or not. Even when trails and temptations comes upon us, these are times that test our faith and faithfulness. We grow in all our troubles and learn of God's love and mercies.

Then we can be filled with joy and happiness.

Words to Live by....Rest

We all find ourselves needing to rest,

there are times when we are

 overwhelmed by our daily life.  

 Let us put aside our worries and cares and trust and rest in the knowledge that God is working
out His purposes for a greater good.

"To trust God in the light is nothing,
but to trust Him in the dark,
that is  Faith."

Heavenly Father, teach me to rest knowing that even when I don't know what's going on in my life, you will carry me through it.

Words to Live by.....God's Favor

There's a Bible verse that I keep taped to my computer. It says:

"At dawn let me hear of your kindness,

for in you I trust. Show me the path 

I should walk, for to you I entrust

my Life."

Psalm 143:8

Today is my 74th birthday, God has been so good and faithful to me. My mother only lived to be 60 and my father 70.  God truly has his hands on me.

I am so thankful to get to spend another birthday with my family.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time

to every purpose under the heaven:"

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Surely God has shone his favor on me, for me to live this long. Every morning I commit the day to Him. My times are in his hands..  

At my age I could get consumed with fear but God doesn't give us a Spirit of fear.

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear,

but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

11 Timothy 1:7

His Love and Favor has been with me all my days. I will not fear!  At the age of 12 I asked

Jesus to save me and He has been with me all along my life's journey and will be to the end..

that is His promise.

"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the 

presence of the angels of God over one sinner

that repenteth."

Luke 15:10

I pray God's blessings and Favor on your day.

Words to Live By.....Abide and Strenght

I struggled to sleep last night, there was something on my mind and I believe , no I know God was trying to get my attention for a known sin that I hadn't confessed. I couldn't go back to sleep until I had made things right with Him.  Sometimes we go in our own strength and  this will cause us all kinds of problems. God won't leave us in our sins if we are his child. He will seek after us until we confess and repent.

It is unwise to get out of God's will. To know His will for us, we must Abide in Him.

My Strength is in you Lord, lead me. When I go out on my own, like I did yesterday and tried to fight my own battle, I lose. I must wait on the Lord, he will fight my battles for me.

My confidence and Strength is in the Lord my God, not in myself.

Dear Lord Jesus, I pray for my sisters in Christ today, Give us the strength to abide in you. May we seek you daily and remain in your word that you have taught us. Lord, come near us as we draw near to you.

Words to Live by......Joy

I have often heard that we have to choose, meaning, to pick out as being the best or most appropriate of two or more alternatives, JOY.

We would all rather be happy always but that isn't possible, every day brings circumstances that make us sad but maybe we can choose to not let it get us down and choose to be Joyful.

My heart is filled with Joy when I am happy.

All by blessing comes from the Lord. My children

and Grandchildren are a blessing. When we're together they know just what to do and say to lift my spirit up.Yesterday my grandson, Johnathan, called to check on us, and my granddaughter, Morgan, and I was texting just to keep in touch. Even now when I think of and writing this I fill Joy rising up in my heart. Oh the Joy of the Lord IS my strength!

When I count my blessing and actually name them out loud, I find myself smiling with a heartfelt

Joy.

In the world today there's so much bad things going on every day. I choose to focus on the good things in my life. I don't watch the news on TV, but I do see things on Facebook, so it's there to remind me and bring me back to reality. Don't stay in that frame of mind for long or it will bring you down. I stop sometimes and remember what the fruits of the Spirit are. We should try to produce some of these into our daily life if not all of them.

Yes, there is evil all around us but we can focus on Joy.

Words to Live By...Patience

Today's word really hit home with me!

WOW! when convicted of this it really hurts.

I confess I am not the most patient person

to live with. But my hubby is teaching me

to be more patient. You see with his other

health problems, he is hard of hearing, even

with hearing aids, but sometimes  I need to

repeat what I have said several times and

then even explain what I am trying to tell him.

So with this weeks words to live by so far,

Hope, Love, and now Patience should enlarge

my Faith. I have to examine myself to see how

much I've grown in this area of my life. I do pray

to grow and learn how God wants me to be and

I'm sure it isn't to be impatient.

Our desire for things to work out like we

want them to, sometimes gets us in trouble.

Tribulation gives us patience, and I don't 

love troubles.

I must learn to be still and not rush into the

day or any circumstance. 

After all it is His will I want not mine.

Isn't that what I pray every day! Yes, so

I must not rush into things or I will be on

my own strength not his.

So as I go on in today, I pray God sends me

joy so I can be patient in all I do. God isn't

finished teaching me yet!
