Well hello there!!!

Hello there!

Oh it has been awhile...but here I am..and there you are!

Hoping to find my way back to writing here again...to a thoughtful place

to share with you and to also hear your voices too

from a different perspective...blogging!

Spring is coming here with a few peaks and valleys of weather changes.

So excited to think of lingering outside more and getting busy with some outdoor projects.

As always my little shabby shed awaits me,

for quiet and reflective days ahead.

Last summer I purchased a swing with a canopy and oh my goodness,

it was so wonderful to just sit outdoors with books and journal

and iced tea and a heart listening for whispers.

The little garden that lay resting under snow will begin to sprout

and will bring a special kind of delight to my heart.

This will have been the first winter sleep for my rose bush..so I cant wait to see how she blooms this year alongside my little shed.

Summers end and joyful memories with my brother

Hello friends!

Just checking in and seeing if my blog was still operating lol.

I've made a few changes...playing around a bit.

One of my favourite captures from my late summer trip to see my brother!

What a gorgeous bloom this was!

We had a great visit

and we found some beauty shots at The Botanical Gardens there.

cooling somewhat and staying indoors

a little more.

I just cast on a pair of socks yesterday and am excited about knitting projects over the fall and winter seasons.

Autumn and forever friendships

Hello Autumn

and hello to you!

Thanksgiving was lovely with family gathering.

I was able to venture out with my dear brother and capture some scenery

and moments of thanks~living.

Thats what I call it...."thanks~living".

I said it accidentally one day,

 last year..

then it was revealed to my heart right away

that it wasn"t an accident.

Thanks~living is really thanksgiving....

just living thanks daily...

moment by moment.

The only way to truly live.

My brother loves the sumac.

I can understand why.

Its a flame of colour, 

attracting the eye.

Leaves on fire...

reds that amaze and astonish.

Captured in hearts that relish this unspeakable beauty.

It all speaks "glory to God",

glory to God!

I am drawn to them.

Full of sentiment and wonder.

Adventure pulling...

Perception.

Its all colour and profuse beauty.

Profound 

yet 

simple.

My lifelong friend..my brother.

This is a true friend.

David I love you longtime,..

you are "gift to me" and

I love you forever.

You don"t even know how beautiful you are.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.

I met my dear brother there for a 4 day visit

and the laughs began as soon as we got there.

Summer holidays and little getaways I love you!

Just about everywhere I look there is this "beauty" 

this revelation of the Love that steals my heart more and more.

Country living..you draw me.

Old White Chalk Paint Project

Summer greetings!
I finally took the paint brush to hand!

It was ebony and I chalk painted it Old White
(Annie Sloan Chalk Paint)
I changed up the door handles for glass knobs

I feel like there's a freshness to this room now
and a lingering presence of summer

Flowers are blooming
and the time of summer has come.
Love the summer breeze
and the sofness it brings with it.
