Katie Isabella and Her Family
Kitties, I am eating but Mom must follow me from area to area throughout the day carrying my bowl and asking if I want to eat. I usually will eat a decent amount. Sometimes I eat where I am supposed to eat through the years...at the placemat with my dishes in the kitchen. Mom buys everything out there to tempt me to eat. Some, I will love for a few days..then refuse them with hardly a sniff. That's how it is around here. Mom and I

How my Angel Furriends see me Through the Veil. |
I am a little thing now, light--- 7 lbs. in weight, but I will still bring my babies in occasionally with announcements. I will still go to all the places with silvervine on them and enjoy them. I love my scratch pads, I patrol, and I love mom. We sleep together every night. I start at her head...then probably waist level, knee level and to the feet. I don't wake Mom any longer at getting up time, but when she calls good morning I come in. If she asks if I want a kiss I come closer. I was offering my face, both cheeks and the top of my head till a few weeks ago. Now I make her work for it.
I have taken over the new chair. I will stand by it or stand ON her when she dares sit in it, but the minute when she finally got the hints and stood...I sunk right in and have a very good nappy till bed time.
I love each and every one of my friends in the CB. ALL of them, no exceptions. I always have and I always will. We have had some "bustin' out laffing" times that kept us going for months. Some of those friends went to the Bridge but they are never ever forgotten. Sometimes they flutter down and stay with me for a little while and we'll talk. They are still on the other side of the Veil but we can see and whisper to one another and do. We remember the fabulous wonderful good times, and where we tunnel traveled to..what we did. Their mamma's and Poppa's all loved us each one too.
Happy Valentine's Day to come all of you.
Kitties! Another weekend of snow. No ice I don't think...just snow. I am soooo not liking that!
Here I am sleeping and just plain relaxing in Mom's new peacock colored chair. She spread an anti-MaScratcher all over it! Less than a week ago, for the first time ever in the 14 years I have lived here (I am almost 19 now) that I have EVER scratches the furniture. The carpet...yeah, some. Not much. She always hollers at me when she catches me, but I have never changed the look of the furniture. Now if that doesn't look awful, I don't know what does! She says she hates my claw art!

| Close up of me and the Anti-MaScratcher! |
Kitties! What a night! I was on my mom's head, beside it, by her arm, next to her waist, on her feet, back to her neck...it was cold, though the heat was thankfully on. There were multiple power outages all through the night. Thank goodness they didn't last long-- each one. Mom has a noise machine aside from me, set on white sound. If it shuts off, which it did multiple times...she wakes instantly. Ice fell and still is falling. Usually the street in front of the house is like the Indianapolis Speedway! (such a contrast from the acres...many many (miles actually) acres, woods in back of the house. Ain't no-buddy going up and down the street. Mom remembers one of the ice storms (we get plenty of those) in which those at work caught by surprise as no one knew it was coming...trying to get home up the street who gave up trying at the bottom of my hill and literally crawled up the entire block...rested a minute across from my house and then continued crawling up the street. That is the truth. Standing in front of my house, it is so steep that you cannot see to the bottom of the street where it turns two ways. And it is only a block away.
So looking out, you see maybe half an inch of snow...but the big deal turned out to be the ice storm. Mom had an essential job that required her presence 200% every day. On days like this she told me she called where she was stationed and said, but nicely, if you want me, come and get me. Most knew where she lived, that she had a Z-28, 5.1 HO which isn't going up or down icy steep hills except involuntarily. So, they came in vehicles that can do it. It was an ordeal getting from the house, down the two measles steps and across the yard to the waiting vehicle. Took quite a while for mom to get there slipping and sliding.
Mom successfully tricked me this morning. I refused her usual medicating routine. She would do it after some delicious brushies in the bathroom each day. (while I was mono-railing on the tub edge.) I said "no". Today, while I was enjoying a time of pets and smoochies on the unmade bed...she left, and came right back in, one rubber gloved hand which she hid behind her back, pre-anointed with Methemizol, and Shazam! she nailed it...straight to the inside ear flap!
Kitties and Woofies, I have to get ready to snoopervise her...she is going to clean the tub, surround, potty and sink/vanity. and floor. Oh she said she bought the Swiffer Mop for Wood Floors. Since the kitchen floor is such a hassle for her, she ordered it. Not too bad. Her own cleaning and then buffing it by skating all over it with two towels does a superb job and it glows like the sun. This...OK. Not like "homemade" however.

| I applied "Scratch No More" |
Kitties...the sun is shining right now and I took the covers off the bushes but: temp will go down to 9 tomorrow is back on, but worse still Mom says ice and snow. Don't know how much of either.
That rotten Mom got me to the Vet so he could look under my hood and check my plugs, see how much gasoline I have.and do I need a paw rotation again. (for nail trim, ear cleaning {methemizole in them} and Vitamin B12 again. )
I went straight back to our bedroom, then to the same brother room and back to our room...over and over. Had small drink of water, a bite to eat, and another tour of the house. I do that each time on return when I have to leave it. I have settled in my newest favorite, the peacock blue green chair Mom bought. If she gets up...I get into it. So guess what Mom discovered three days ago? After living with Mom 14 years out of the 18 years I have been in Earth, I finally scratched the dickens out of the chair arm support. I can't believe I did that. Mom can't either. I never claw anything I shouldn't until three days ago. She trimmed the fibers hanging and got a full sized top bed sheet and draped the chair. Looks like H-E-Double Hockey Sticks!
She just shoveled in a HUGE bowl of her vegetable beef soup. Chock full of veggies. She doesn't kid around. Eating that soup is like having a four course meal! Tender tender and lotsa TENDER beef and a zillion veggies. Oh my Heavens it is SOOOOOO good. She's stuffed-- and there goes her prancing around later I'll wager.
Kitties! Look what someone sent me a few days ago. If only mom could crochet! She can't knit either. I want this soooo much!
I want the aqua one but I would gladly have any of them!

| Not a dirty carpet. It's there I lay through the years flattening it badly. And shadows too. |
Look! I brought Donkey, Shrimp, and small Mousie and left them in all of the doorways at the end of the hall. I screamed like a banshee doing it. WhenI started that screaming about 8 months ago, it woke Mom and scared the hair off her head. It was horribly loud...sounded like a howl...it WAS a howl really but as soon as I got to the delivery point I quit. I was surprised to see I had Mom's undivided attention too! I never did that until the time I mentioned. It's new and looks like I will always do it, as I have. Mom warned Brother not to be alarmed while he was here that week of Christmas. Sure enough I howled my head off. After all deliveries are done I climb up onto bed with Mom and go back to sleep.
My Mom is a Raptor fan. So she uses this picture as a screen saver on the MAC. Me, I'm probably afraid of them if I met one. But this is husband and wife. The ladies are bigger than their mates. That seems so odd. These two do have a family.
Going to be 16 F tonight. I have my plants covered unless the wind blows the covers off. I sure hope not.
