Hike #63 Highlights!
I decided to jump right in with this hike because I haven’t shared photos from this hike…on! That’s how far behind I am! And one of the reasons I wanted to do a series!
So here we go….
around 80 degrees today when we hit the trail!
We’re hiking the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway.
I saw the prettiest little Warbler…
and got a couple of pics!
And then a beautiful Great Crested Flycatcher!
Two pics of him!
Saw a neat butterfly but I’m not sure what it is called.
Even saw a sun dog!
As I ended my hike, I walked around the curve to see the tunnel.
(the trail continues under the highway)
Met a couple of mountain bikes turning onto one of the bike trails. (for bikes only)
A nice place to take a break.
Well, unless the bears have the same idea! lol
I love signs…and love to go slow!
So that took about 1 1/2 hours. How are you doing so far?
Did you enjoy our hike?

Enter the Wild Side of Florida!
It’s very cool to go to Homosassa Wildlife Park and see all of the wildlife that we have in this part of Florida. And maybe take a walk with a Stork!
It’s quite another to see photos of wild animals captured on motion-activated cameras on the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway trail that you hike regularly….by yourself! This article was in the Ocala Good Life Magazine this month and I want to thank them for the article and give them credit for this photo that accompanied the article. When I mention I’ve hiked on the Florida Trails….this is the one I’m on! Keep the camera handy, right? You can read the entire magazine HERE!
The wildlife from Homosassa Wildlife is safer AND easier to capture.
Alligators!
Isn’t that duck brave to swim so close to this big guy!!!
A Florida Cougar.
A small Bobcat.
And a black bear! (we’ve seen bears in the wild!)
I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE
and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

Christmas “Wednesday Wee Ones”
Some of my dollies have their holiday PJs on just in time for Christmas.
I made these little pjs and robes last year.
Don’t you love this Puffin from Iceland! (thanks D & J!)
Wendy loves to sit on the sofa surrounded with her favorite things!
Wendy has her Christmas pajamas on while she reads her new book.
My friend Joyce from the Bear’s Blog has written a book, Three Bears and a Vulture just in time for Christmas giving.
It’s a fun collection of stories for all ages!
We’re enjoying being in Florida during the holidays, taking advantage of the nice weather to get outside more.
*** Merry Christmas ***
from the dollies here at my house!
Don’t forget to take time to PLAY!
Happy Wednesday Wee Ones!

Gingerbread Annie meets the Gingies “Wednesday Wee Ones”
I love getting a new doll for Christmas (an early gift to myself).
And this year, I fell in love with this precious Raggedy Ann with a little gingerbread man dress.
It’s the first doll I’ve bought from Brendi and it is adorable! Her Etsy shop is HERE and she has lots of cute things for sale!
My gingies were made by Julie and her Etsy shop is HERE.
I love buying handmade items, don’t you?
I like making things too but this year I’m running late on holiday crafting and sewing. It’s 80 degrees here today so it’s hard to stay inside!
Have you made anything new this year?
If you do a post with dolls or toys, let me know and I’ll put a link at the end of my post.
JoAnn has help with decorating the Christmas tree today! Visit her HERE for some holiday fun!

A ‘Beary’ Good Week for Wednesday Wee Ones!
It’s been SO nice to have my sewing room in good order again! And when I was organizing, I came across a ‘few’ unfinished projects. I’ve been inspired by my blog friend Sandra from farm girl sam lately! She’s been busy finishing up all kinds of projects. (and reading good books too!)
This bear was stuck in a drawer…armless and legless. He’s still faceless but at least now he can sit on a shelf.
Or hang out with other bears in the sewing room.
I’ve made quite a few over the years.
I even made up my own pattern for this one. Really! I made it up!
I wonder if eyes and a nose….a ribbon or bow…or something to wear would help?
That will have to wait for another day! haha! After all, I DO still see a Raggedy Andy with a missing arm on the work bench.
I hope you’ll visit JoAnn today! She’s showing off her cute dolls HERE!
Anyone else joining us today?
Don’t forget to
