Snow Day❄️❄️

BERJAYA
My Ruthie had a wonderful day
frolicking in the snow.

Ruthie is an older gal,
but there are times the puppy
within comes to life.

She had a happy smile
on her face this frosty morning.

The snow shadows were lovely...

The back yard looking
to the Blue Ridge Mountains
takes my breath away...
BERJAYA
Ruthie and I took a
little walk together.

Isn't she a pretty girl?

It has been two months
since we adopted her.

She brings lots of
happiness and smiles to
our little cottage...

Back inside I made
a hot breakfast with a
superfood smoothie.

I buy the SuperFood Blend
at Walmart and add it to frozen
banana, blueberries, kale
and almond milk.

A tasty way to get your
fruits and veggies...
BERJAYA
Later in the evening
I had hot lemon water
and feasted on the Word.
BERJAYA
How do you like my
Mumsy mug?
It was a gift from
sweet daughter 🤗

And....
we finished the John Sloane puzzle
I showed in the last post.

I think it turned out so pretty.
It's bright and Spring-timey...

Just a reminder that the
beauty of this day came
from the mighty and creative
Hand of the Lord.

You are loved.

A Little Like Heaven

BERJAYA
Winter storm Fern
has brought some
bitter weather our way.

I like to create
light and warmth
in the cottage when
the weather keeps us in.
BERJAYA
We washed our
oil lamps and filled them.

They cheered the
Winter night with a
cheerful glow.
BERJAYA
We started a John Sloan
puzzle to keep
our hands busy,
 It has a pretty
Spring time picture 🌺
John Sloan is my
favorite artist.
I'm collecting as many
of his beautiful
puzzles as I can find.
BERJAYA
Puzzles are a great way
to keep our minds sharp
as we get a little older...
so they say🙂

The lantern light
created a nice atmosphere
to chat and enjoy our time together.

In Laura Ingalls book
The Long Winter
she wrote...
"It was so wonderful to be there,
safe at home, sheltered from
the winds and the cold.
Laura thought that this must be
a little like heaven,
where the weary are at rest."

That's home...
the place we come
for shelter and rest
in a weary world.

Homemakers are the
hearts of their homes.

What we create within
our four walls builds a
little safe haven for
those we cherish.

This evening we enjoyed
hot soup and homemade
Italian herb and cheese bread

Dear One likes his
toasted with butter
and melted cheese...
BERJAYA
A bit of tea and honey
with a chocolate chip cookie
finished the meal.

Praise God for our
home-sweet-homes.

Whether humble or grand
there is truly
no place like a good home.

God bless you all
as you serve your dear ones
and create a home that is
little bit of heaven on earth
