Monthly Musings

BERJAYA

Somehow I missed the graphic and link up yesterday for Monthly Musings - better late than never!  Let's take a look at all things winter and Valentine's Day...

January Books

BERJAYA

I had a great reading month.  My Instagram account is making me want to read even more than usual to get those book review posts completed!  Let me know in the comments what you've been reading lately.

The Wednesday Hodgepodge

BERJAYA

Hey y'all!  I hope your week is off to a good start.  Here is Houston, everything was closed on Monday.  We had icy bridges and overpasses, and that was enough to close county facilities and schools.  So no library volunteering for me on Monday.  We just relaxed at home, and continued watching The Beast in Me in the evening.  On Tuesday, I had a dental cleaning and then went to check out our new Barnes and Noble store.  It is much bigger than I expected, and the new design inside is modern and bright.  I don't actually buy many books, but I will enjoy browsing.  I'm looking forward to warmer temperatures later this week, as well as my weekday Bible study and a Thursday library volunteer session.

Today, I'm linking up with Joyce for the Wednesday Hodgepodge.  Let's see what the questions are this week.

Hello Monday {Hamnet and a Freeze}

BERJAYA

Hello Monday, hello friends!  Did you survive the snowmageddon weekend?  Here in Houston, we had cold temperatures and icy bridges, but the rest of Texas got a big of snow and ice.  Of course, the entire state is shut down!  Anytime we get a hard freeze, our main concern is our pipes.  We have a few more nights in the 20's, so we will continue protecting the outside pipes and turning our water off at night to drain the pipes.

Here are some happenings from the weekend.

TGIF!  How was your week?  I had a good week with 2 library volunteer days, 2 Bible studies starting, and enjoying some mild weather before we get an arctic blast this weekend.  To be honest, we're not expecting many problems, with just a few nights of below freezing temperatures.  I hope you will be staying warm and cozy wherever you live this weekend!

Today I have a random selection of links that I have bookmarked over the last few weeks.  Enjoy!
