Friday Bench: Lonely Hearts

BERJAYA

Another of the fab collaborations between Alan Call and Charlie Graham-May for last weekend’s #FringeFeb in Chippenham.

I love how shooting into the sun has added to the mood of this photo 🙂

Waving

BERJAYA

A number of new signs cropped up around the centre of Chippenham at the weekend as part of the first #FringeFeb. A great way of cheering up what’s been a dreary February.

It was fun to go round spotting them. I didn’t get them all, but watch out for a special Friday Bench later this week 🙂

Friday Bench: Roundel

BERJAYAA prominent version of one of the most iconic brands in the world. You can find out more about its history here.

Friday Bench: #whippetgood

Not quite sure how comfortable he’d be, though it looks like plenty of people have stopped to pose on other days 🙂

Friday Bench: With friends

BERJAYA

Last week’s Friday Bench from Lake Bled was spectacular, but this one is even more so because it contains some of my friends 🙂

What a fun time we had!

May you have a friend-filled Christmas and New Year.

Is that really a rhea?

BERJAYABERJAYABERJAYA

One of the more unusual sights of Ljubljana – a man taking his rhea for a walk across Butchers’ Bridge.

He simply gently guided it along with his hand. Our guide told us he makes a regular appearance in the city – sometimes with a peacock instead!

Friday Bench: Thenford

BERJAYA

At Thenford Arboretum and Gardens, there’s a wonderful rill. But, lo what do I see in the distance?

BERJAYA

Ah yes, it’s a little clearer now…

BERJAYA

… oh, my goodness! 🙂

Friday Bench: Willow Reader

BERJAYA

On view at Avebury Manor’s fab sculpture exhibition in the garden until October 13th. Unless it gets sold!

You can go for a wander though some of the other exhibits here.

Friday Bench: Edelweiss

BERJAYAEdelweiss are quite hard to avoid in Switzerland. They’re everywhere, except in the wild it seems. These were in front of our hotel, and then…

BERJAYA

… a quite different form can be seen at the top of the Brienzer Rothorn mountain which advertises an airline!
