Orthotic Sandals
I bought a pair of Archie's orthotic sandals recommended by my physiotherapist. I will wear them indoors for support, I had mentioned foot pain from an old injury to the arch of one of my feet. They feel very supportive, with arch support, as I break them in.

Baked zucchini with red onions
I baked some zucchini with sliced red onions the other day. It was unsalted but I added dried basil, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic and I did not miss the salt. I decided to blend some with formula for Grandson C.

Ossobuco with herbed smashed potatoes
This Ossobuco was inspired by Angie. I paired it with herbed mini smashed potatoes. I decided to simmer the Ossobuco on the stovetop for 3 hours instead of baking it in the oven and we used beef shanks instead of veal as that is what was available. They were expensive, I had the impression shank was inexpensive. Two big pieces were about $40 Canadian.

Friday Art - Capybara
Showing some capybara an ACEO (2 1/2" x 3 1/2") that showed up on my screensaver one day. They are the world's largest rodent here are some interesting facts I found on them.

Happy New Year 2026
Welcome to 2026!
Christmas was a busy blur of activity. We are blessed with good family and friends on both sides of the family. I must say our 7 month old grandson helps to bring everyone even closer together when it comes to celebrations. The Christmas tree was so full of gifts underneath I struggled to keep track of who gave what and to whom. Of course I ate too much and that includes chocolates and fruit cake. We have had a lot of snow thus far. My friend S thinks she will retire this year, it gets overwhelming sometimes at the office these days.
And I caught a cold likely from the Christmas gathering.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
