Cedar Fever season, that is. Lots of sneezing, sniffing and itching eyes here. Our Texas cedars are full of pollen and I am very allergic to it!
I'm kind of on a soup for supper kick-I made potato soup last night and beef, barley and vegetable soup tonight. Guess we'll eat up the leftovers tomorrow. Our church is having a chili cookoff this coming Sunday night. My husband is gathering his ingredients and getting ready to compete! Should be interesting and delicious! I'll make a dessert and maybe some cornbread to go with it. That's about all that's going on here. Think I'll take an allergy pill and head for bed. Have a good week!

Inauguration Day
However you may feel about the new president, this is a historic day for the United States. Since the first president took the oath of office in 1789, we have peacefully handed over power to a president every 4 years with out fail, in peace and in war. Today is about this great history and our great country regardless of who is being sworn in. God Bless the USA!

Brrr
It's 19F outside and snowing, though probably not more than an inch will accumulate. A good day to stay home. Our oldest grandson (4yrs old) saw the snow falling and said "Yay, it's Christmas!" Sorry, Ryan, you only get one at a time!
It's hard to get motivated to do anything when the weather is like this-or at least it is for me. I'm "motivationally challenged" at the best of times. (That sounds better than lazy!) It's nice to sit here in the warmth and watch the flakes fall. Whatever needs doing can wait until tomorrow!

18 years ago today, my sweet dad laid down for a nap and awoke in the arms of Jesus. Miss him every day.
