Little Swingers

We've had some beautiful Spring-like days here-sunshine and temperatures in the 70's (F) and even lower 80's-but this week it looks to be a return to colder temps and rain.  Guess it's still a little early to expect the return of Spring!

My husband has been building a swing set for the grands and he got it put up last week. Two of them were out here this morning with their mom for a visit and lunch, and the swings were a big hit!

Bother Adventures

BERJAYA

Not anything like the weather they're having up North, but cold and wet enough! Staying home today and keeping warm!

We had an adventure the other day-our daughter and grandson came out to see us and have lunch. She parked in our driveway, and came in through the garage, so when time came for them to go home, we opened the door from the house to the garage to go back out. We were greeted with a very surprised skunk with an upturned tail! (Not nearly as surprised as us, though!) Fortunately, we were able to beat a hasty retreat back inside and slam the door! We had left the big garage door open as we usually do during the day and evidently the skunk had come in to curl up under our water heater. Seemed strange to see him out in broad daylight, though we had seem him about the place several times at night. We managed to get our daughter and our little man safely out to their car and on their way and then settled down to decide how to dislodge the skunk. We pounded on the walls inside the house and yelled-even used the panic button on our remotes to make the car horns honk, but to no avail. (I'm sure this all looked and sounded very strange to our neighbors!) Finally, my husband carefully and quietly sneaked out and put some canned tuna fish close to the garage door opening and ran back to the house. Soon, the skunk came out for the treat and we were able to close the garage door. (We have the button to the main door opener right next to the door from the house into the garage.) Unfortunately, we decided that if the skunk had become bold enough to come so close during broad daylight, we couldn't afford to have him around-so my husband did eventually have to dispatch him when he finally got far enough away from the house. Hopefully we're done with adventures for a while!

Happy Thanksgiving!
