I don’t know that I’m personally all that interesting, but I like to write about various topics, and I hope other people who are interested in such things will want to see my take. Topics I address include mythology, books (especially L. Frank Baum’s Oz series), music, religion (generally from a skeptical point of view), video games, and contemporary issues.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.

Morning. I came across your website looking for early church persecution. Noticed the pic on the front page of woman reaching for the forbidden fruit. Not to be critical, but Eve did not have any clothes on as of yet. Because Adam and Eve did not recognize they were naked until after they had eaten the fruit and sinned against God. Be very careful the images that you would depict because every idle word we give account of in the day of judgement and stricter judgement for teachers.
Thanks
John 3:3
Actually, that’s Button-Bright picking a peach, from The Lost Princess of Oz.
Well, in that case be very careful how you depict American children in Oz. It might come into play on the day of judgment. You just never know.
I’m really loving your blog. I like reading other people’s thoughts on Oz.
But is it possible to get lost in Heaven? Otherwise Button-Bright might not enjoy it.

Nathan your lastest blog is hysterical! When I played Put Down the Ducky my dog went crazy and kept running back and forth through the room. It finally hit me that he thought one of his squeeker toys was stuck in the computer. And that bit about Santorum, priceless. Don’t go away, Okay?
Thanks! I’ll try not to go away.
That story about the dog and the rubber duckie reminds me of how one of our dogs freaked out upon hearing the barking dog version of “Jingle Bells.”
I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger’s Award! Check my site, page “Awards”.
Thank you! I went ahead and nominated some other people.
I Wud Lyk To Join Illuminati.
And you think poor spelling would help you achieve this goal?
Are your photos copyrighted?
They’re usually just ones I find online. I don’t generally know about the copyright status.
Nathan- it’s Candace Clearwater. I NEED YOU!!!!!! #Squonk
Do you have a question or something?
well YES!! I DO have a question. First of all, are you mad at me? What did i do????? Also…… There’s a squonk in my bathroom! What do I do?? And lastly, what are you doing tonight? ;P
Try to draw it out with food, perhaps?
Hi! I just binge read a bunch of your more mythological/beastiary posts — along with one on the Temptation of St. Augustine (since I had just finished the book) — which were all really good! I was curious if you had a folder perhaps or a condensed resource on your thoughts/gatherings on all the creatures you’ve read about located on this blog or somewhere else online? And I know you said you don’t find yourself that interesting haha, but I was wondering if this blog is a side project and if you studied (academically) mythology or science fiction? Sorry for all the questions, but again it’s been a pleasure to read several of your posts and I’m glad you are continuing to post (I’ll read your one on terrifier 3 next, as soon as I myself watch the film, for better or for worse).
I guess a lot of the creature-related ones would be under the Monsters tag, but it’s true that I have a somewhat haphazard approach to tagging on here. I probably should do a bit more to organize things, for my sake as much as anyone else’s. And no, I’m not currently studying anything academically. I have had some related classes in the past, but that was a long time ago. I do this for fun, although if anyone learns anything from it, that’s all the better. Thanks for the comments!
Hi! Just out of curiosity, I had posted a comment a few days ago about your work/posts, but I do not see it here. Was it somehow deleted on my end? If it was on your end, I apologize if anything I asked was too personal. Either way, I’ve been enjoying reading several of your posts on mythical creatures and the one on The Temptation of St. Anthony.
Yeah, I got it. I believe I have to approve new comments, so it should show up now.
