Another week begins………..and these days a little SPARK to start things off is a BIG HELP – at least for me it is.    What is SPARK all about?

“SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when she stopped blogging some time ago. It was meant to be a way to start out each week with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who reads it. Although Annie isn’t currently blogging,  a lot of us who enjoyed her SPARKS decided to keep posting SPARKS of our own.    Feel free to join us even if this isn’t a Blog Hop – SPARKS are fun to find and share and think about and the more the merrier.  Just post a thought on Mondays and perhaps your “followers will follow” !

My SPARK this week was something I found a long time ago but it applies to NOW, TODAY, THIS MOMENT…..and for who know how much time in the future.   But I tell myself this OFTEN……..yes it helps.

You’ve seen this view and you’ve seen this exact position from me – splooting in the foyer – before.   AND in fact you’ve seen this photo before because it’s a re-run from 2020.     Mom said after cruising through old photos she thought this one would be spectacular with a wild filter!    Oh well.    What can I say.   At any rate, we gave it some jazz with Lunapic and hope you’ll just say “OK we still like it!” and carry on!   LOL

We used Lunapic’s “GAUGUIN”  effect and oh boy does it pop!

AND of course we reduced this a LOT for this little Photo for you to click and find the fabulously difficult puzzle!!    WOOOO HOO – have fun!

Happy Bacon Day!  The Royal Mom and I have a yummy recipe for you!

We spend a lot of time looking for what we think are super recipes for which bacon has a starring role – why?  Because who doesn’t like bacon?   We sure do, and if you are a Bacon-Buddy then you may find a recipe or two that you like enough to make and share like WE do.    This one is so good – mainly because the Royal Mom loves corn.   Add bacon and WOWZER.    This recipe has two kinds of corn too.    And as if that wasn’t good enough – this recipe is really EASY.    Ready to take notes?

Now – were we right or wrong?   Isn’t this a winner?    Please don’t tell the Royal Mom I told you this but Mom ate a whole bowl of this WITHOUT anything else to eat…..yep I  kid you not.    It’s that good.   BUT wouldn’t it be yummy with a delicious pork chop or steak or – ANYTHING?   Of course it would.

Definitely a winner……………………We’ll be back next week with another winner I’m sure.   If you have a recipe involving bacon you want to share – just send it in, along with a photo of you and we’ll put you in the kitchen with ME and we’ll whip up your recipe to share with the universe (OK – maybe not the universe but with all the people who follow me here!).

Happy Thursday Friends!    After my two days off I’m rarin’ to go with “Thankfuls” and sharing Angel Sammy’s poem for the week.    First up – what am I thankful for?    So many things I couldn’t possibly name them.   Thankful for my happy home, thankful for parents who don’t mind letting me have 2 or sometimes 3 hours outside every day to exercise, enjoy the fresh air and sometimes even take a nap under an azalea bush!     I’m also super thankful for all of you – my friends!     Today I’m thankful to be dedicating myself to my Mom 100% of the day because it’s her birthday.   I’m going to be polite, not ask for treats, follow her around to keep her company, and sit right at her feet when she’s in her chair.    Yep – I’m going to be “Mr. Perfect” !

Something else I’m super thankful for is Angel Brian’s family who carries on with Thankful Thursday – a very IMPORTANT blog hop because we all need to focus on the things we are thankful for.

Now I want to share the poem my brother Angel Sammy sent to me to share with all of you.

It’s Time For Some Poetry!

Hello my friends…………you know how much I look forward to spending a little time with you on Thursdays – reminds me of the old days before I became an Angel and spent every day with you for a while when I was blogging.   Sigh.  Well, I’m still with you – whether you feel me there or not.     But these days Poetry is my game and I play that with all of you.    I give you a photo and you write a poem about it.  Easy?  Well sometimes!

“The Frogorchestra Serenade!”

In the early morning when the breeze is calm

Comes the sound of the orchestra – a soothing balm

The frogs practice in the meadow where the sound is good

The birds sing along – all ’round the neighborhood

“Why play here?”  the residents all inquire

“We hear humans are sad, circumstances are dire!

“The world is in trouble, at least that’s what they say…..”

“So we play to bring smiles in our frog-like way!”

When the concert is over and the people leave the glen

Their burden is lighter – with a smile their day can begin………

Well I do know that if a frog orchestra was in our neighborhood my Mom would be right there listening and carrying the happiness in her heart for the whole rest of the day!   These days humans have to find their happiness where they can and if a frog orchestra does it – YAY FOR THEM!   Right?  Right!

Now here’s the photo I found for all of us to use for NEXT week’s get together………….ready?   

I love this………………..AND I know that I tend to do a lot of photos with animals but – I can say this – animals do the darndest things (and I am one so I know that to be true!!).   Hope you think this will be fun – I do!
