Friday Face OFF 8/29/25 Nut Milk Bags
Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)
This is the place to show off your face art.
Yesterday I posted about making sweet relish and using Milk Nut Bags. To answer some questions. There are all kinds of MNBs Mine are fine Italian mesh, BPA free and tear resistant. MNB are used to strain and filter liquids from solids. Like home made cheese, yogurts and of course cucumbers. LOL I also use a MNB when making Ghee. They are inexpensive and reusable. I got mine off Amazon.
As I mentioned yesterday we have been doing a lot of driving. When Mr. M. drives I tried to draw. OMG!!! Not sure who this is or where it came from but this is my car art for this week.
Most of my gallery is dark art but here are a few that are not so dark. LOL Here is one of my swamp ladies.
Gillena. She has a beautiful blog and hosts Art for Fun Friday.
Mia has a very beautiful blog where she shows light and lovely AI art. Now it's your turn to show me your face.

MIA
Hi Everyone!
I've been MIA in blogging the last 5 days. Too much going on and I'm exhausted. However, I had so many cucumbers from the garden I had to do something with them. Why not relish?
I put the cucs, an even amount of onions from the garden and 1/2 the amount of red, yellow and orange bell peppers into the food processor.
Then add pickling salt and mix well. Add enough water to cover the veggies and place in the fridge for 24 hours. Then this will be rinsed to remove all the salt.
Now to get rid of as much water as possible. I have nut milk bags, to remove liquid. I've had these a few years and they are so much better than cheese cloth. They are reusable and clean up easily.
Add the veggie mix to the bag and squeeze.
After making your brine add the veggies, bring to a boil and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. I filled pint jars and processed them for 10 minutes I got 9 pints.
I have to tell you the sweet relish brine really turned out perfectly.
I also made applesauce this week.
Hope everyone is doing well.

FFO 8/22
Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)
This is the place to show off your face art.
It's been a crazy week. Lot's going on medically and the bills are pilling up. My perspective on this is, there is nothing I can do about it. Worrying will only make me upset and more ill. So the bills will get paid as I can. I'm sure some of you know how that is. So, how do I relax and forget about it? I draw.
This week I used one of my AI images as my muse. For me I really like the softness of her face. It starts like this.

I also worked on some monster AI art too. Come on, there is already Halloween items in the stores. LOL
I would love to make this in my monster art room
And so for my readers who don't like dark art and I don't want you to have nightmares. Here is something pretty that I created.
Now for some amazing features.
First we have Cloudia. Need inspiration? Head over to her blog.
Next is Arnoldo. I met Arnoldo may years ago blogging. I love track of him and now he is back and is now an Episcopal Priest as well as an artist.
is the beautiful Melody Jacobs.
She presents some wonderful blog posts, and is where I learned about
smashed cucumber salad. LOL
It's your turn to show me your face.

Tuesday another garden day
Hi Everyone!
This morning in my garden it felt like fall. You know that change in the air?
I pulled all of my onions. For those of you who don't know when onions are ready to harvest the tops fall over.
Like this.
However, because of the weather I had onions bolt and the tops become very thick. I received my newsletter from the onion company that reported due to strange weather this year all over the country onions are taking a hit. It's ether too cold or too hot. Onions bolting and getting thick tops. Boy was I glad to get that email. So today I harvested all of my onions. They will have to cure for about 2 weeks.
Lots of cucs
