banks
builders converting the Clydesdale bank in Prestwick...having fun!
Prestwick now has gone down to one bank...and that is the TSB...owned by a Spanish company and having computer problems...
we're on to last minute organizing and shopping, for Saturday...people start arriving tomorrow....now I remember why I don't organize cycling events or even be officially involved any longer.

House Progress
Next door has been roughcasted today, next step render and harling'
We've been getting our wrapping, polystyrene blocks sitting on a ledge and attached to the walls with fixings
and here is Dad...working with his two sons,a real gentleman.
Our house's team is from Poland, and is four workers plus a supervisor.
They work well, work hard and keep a clean site.

my builder
Please note-
you may think you're being helpful, when you lay a concrete floor in a potter's workshop........
and decide, against the request, to put a rough surface on it, "so that you don't slip and fall"......
the floor had to be painted anyway, so it is just as slippery.
I just curse your "helpfulness" a little every time I have to clean the darn thing!!
I just didn't have the time or the heart to get you to put a smooth surface on it!
You're a very good builder and you do try hard to please :-)

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
