Frozen

Frozen

White whispers
Into frozen air
Take me to winter
Where darkness is deep
And the cold profound

A beautiful poem and image. I love it! I love the blue tinge the world takes on when it snows. Always have loved that winter blue.

I wonder whether loving the cold winter is merely an excuse for not living in a warm and friendly climate? I saw and felt the cold of northern european winters in wartime in my childhood many years ago this pursuaded me that a move south to Australia was preferable. Your poem is however delightful something like ice-cream running down your chin.

Lol... As a Canadian I think we're taught (persuaded?) as children to love the winter. I think I have more of a love/hate relationship with it. I'm looking out my window to watch the snow fall right now and from inside it is beautifully lovely but I'm not looking forward to going out to shovel it later. I would not be averse to a southern sojourn and some of that ice cream.

During winter, the darkness is deeper but the stars are much more profound and clear. Thank you, Lori

When the cold takes your breath away and then gives it back to you in white puffs that you can see. I always find it mesmerizing to watch people talk when you can see the words come from their mouths in white whispers.
