Come rain ...
... or shine ...
... smiley, happy people toil tirelessly to build a nice viewing platform cum party space on the keep roof for your future delight.
Meanwhile, inside the keep itself, those less tolerant of the British weather do their best to persuade Old Dive that there's no way they'll have the Great Hall finished in time.
Down in the basement, an archæologist with a teeny-tiny toy shovel prepares to remove the tons of protective material from the wonders below.
Over in the modern section, someone discovers what happens when you throw a cardboard box at a wall REALLY hard!
More fun and games from the castle soon.

The last image sums up this post, sweetpea! It's raining here and everyone is concerned about flooding, mudslides, landslides, and debris flows (all different messy things), so your post has made me smile! I may have to try that cardboard box trick. But seriously, does it look as if the projected time for completion will be missed? xox
Yikes, Savannah. You have scary weather over there.
We're still on course for an early Summer opening; it's just that so much has been done on the modern buildings that the keep has been used for storage, so it still looks like it did a year ago. xoxo
Party space! So...will everything be done in time for the party?
Here's hoping, Petrea. I reminded them yesterday that the original opening date was supposed to be December, 2021 and applied some shoe-leather to some builders' bottoms.
So cool to see how the castle is progressing! The Great Hall is really going to be spectacular. As will the views from the roof. Here's hoping you have a lovely Spring with lots of blue sky days!
