Local Wildlife
Ooh we have sun and warmth!
These are tne ducklings last week. They are continuing to grow.
It was nice to see butterflies today
Pity about the reeds. But a record shot oc a Reed Warbler
This one has material in its beak.
Interesting to see the various stages of plumage.
This is one of a brood at a small garden pond I don't often mention, it's by the side of the road out of town.
I saw a hawker dragonfly this afternoon over the split pond. Oh we gave a 3rd foal. I'll have to wander up to see it.

Still here!
I've been quiet recently. Sorry.
The weather has been yuck and I haven't taken my camera out. There haven't been many butterflies either.
The highlight was a male Mandarin duck which was at New Hall pond for a day. I'd seen a female once before.
We have two ducklings who are growing fast and about 6 moorhen chicks.
Swallow numbers are low and at home I've not seen a House Martin.
The 2 foals are doing ok. They are close to each other 😊

Wimpole Hall
I headed to Wimpole today. The sun was shining and the gardens were looking good. Sadly not many butterflies around.
