Keeping on...

BERJAYA

It has been just a tad wet and windy...ferries cancelled and bridges closed to high sided vehicles.

Meanwhile we carry on!

The workshop has the first guttering...and that gave half a wheelie bin of rainwater overnight!! Mostly we have been finding indoor jobs...trying to reduce clutter, sort papers and the like. Hopefully Pirate has sorted a few things to be sold on fleabay!!

There may be some more production in the larder....

It's a good thing that we got the fleabay sales off in the post yesterday!

I managed to buy the last sourdough loaf from the Mossgiel Snug too. It would be good to be back making my own, but I have enough to do, and if we can keep a local small business going that is sourcing from other small businesses....that is good.

Ice and snow today, so the only place we are going is to get our weekly newspaper.

We have been gifted two sets of walking crampons and it looks like they are needed today.

a wet ride

Auchinleck colliery....the last deep mine? We did ride past the entrance to the new opencast at Netherton....the landscape is part moonscape, part restored land and bits of farmland.

Consolation prize for the wet ride..although we had lunch at Dumfries House near Cumnock during the heaviest shower.
