quandary
We've been offered a month in Brisbane..or near...only one ticket to buy....just need to pay for everything else.
I'm thinking how can we afford that..and everything else we've planned...I've been working on affording going back to NZ again....
Its such a one off chance, but....
It could also be a chance,if only Pirate goes with his friend,I get four weeks with time to work and de-clutter....
and it could all be off if said friend's offspring doesn't get international selection......

belongings, alias "stuff"
I've just read a post by Milkmoon about moving home..
Since 1998 we've moved five times to progressively smaller homes....each time we've had to reduce what we have.
Now I'm leaving home and going to share a one bedroom, one living room cottage......
HOW do I reduce what I have still more....HOW do I pare down my belongings, my book collection, my pot collection?
I already have garden plants to move, and a workshop to pare down to bare essentials- not easy after so many years.
Living here in New Zealand for a while has shown us that we need far less than we think, but reducing all the things that have memories attached will hurt.

booking a trip
is a nightmare!!
However with much help from a certain photographer I'm inching my way to actually buying a plane ticket....my first ever!!
The Carpenter will oversee the computerwork in booking the ticket.....just in case!!
I need to co-ordinate a lift, a flight, two bus journeys, a ferry and a lift the other end....STRESS!!
I looked at the mileage from home to the ferry..600 miles....so the round trip would cost about £180 in fuel....not much different to the cheapest ticket on the train, which I'd love!!
Therefore looking at time and money, I have little choice but to fly.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
