Joyful Deer
Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I hope you are enjoying preparations for holidays if you celebrate them,
and are taking time to take a deep breath and enjoy!
This sweet deer looks like that's just what she's doing.
I had some kits left from my last class and this sweet deer was a perfect fit.
My Copic coloring is looking a little rough. Some of my markers are
drying out and the nibs are getting rough.

Winter Bird for Craft Group
Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
We just had our December Craft Group meeting.
Our swap them was winter.
Here are my swaps.
I CASEd this card that made me go to Unity and order this stamp.
I used the emboss resist technique and watercolor background.
After embossing the branches, I smooshed into Distress Oxide ink spritzed
with water. I dried and smooshed some more until I was happy with them.
The sweet bird has been stamped and watercolored.
Here's a closeup of one. I colored his hat blue and matted the layers with kraft.
I left off a sentiment so my friends could add their own.
Challenges:
Triple B-Birds, Butterflies & Blooms - I wasn't inspired by the mood board but wondering how this bird would look in black and white. Hmm...

Chilly and Freezy
Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Chilly and Freezy came to live with me last Christmas and got set aside
into my NBUS box where they waited patiently to come out to play.
I had these backgrounds left over from my Christmas card class and decided that these
fun characters would fit perfectly.
I've die cut and colored all the pieces with Copic markers then popped them on top
of the backgrounds that had been die cut. We used a circle and brushed with ink for the sky.
On the second card, I stamped the "snow" with a Gorgeous Grunge stamp
and embossing ink, then embossed with white powder for a snowy look.
One more to use up the backgrounds. This time I added a sleigh die that's been in my
collection for years. I cut one layer from darker red and the top layer from bright red.
Challenges:
Christmas Craft Creations - Add a Hat
Christmas Kickstart - Christmassy

Layered Poinsettias
Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Here's a couple of cards using leftover kits from my last class with a little twist.
It's a great way to add to my Christmas card stash.
I turned this from a landscape to portrait orientation. I had to cut one side of the label
and use a different sentiment.
It's hard to tell by the photo, but I've sponged ink along the edges of the colored
cardstock to add depth to the petals.
This one was cut from a piece of smooshed paper in my background stash with a little
sponging on the edges.
Here's a peek at the card we did in class. It was a CASE of this card by my
talented friend, Michele. Thank you for the inspiration always, my friend.

Altenew Sweet Spray
Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Altenew sent me this fantastic stamp, die, stencil and embossing folder set
and asked me to design some cards with it. This is a set that is exclusive to Scrapbook.com.
What a treat!
First off...
I inked the stamp twice with Pumice Stone Distress ink and stamped on a piece of
watercolor paper. Then I used my Altenew 36 Color Watercolor set to color.
The die came in handy for cutting it out and the background was embossed with
the beautiful 3D embossing folder.
After assembling, I used a white gel pen to add a few dots and heat embossed and
die cut the sweet little sentiment.
Next up...
I embossed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with this awesome
embossing folder and using the stencils as a guide, brushed some ink on the flowers
on one corner. I brushed color on a leftover strip of Neenah for the dividing strip.
Finally for a softer look...
I embossed and diagonally cut another piece of white cardstock and used the stencil
to color on corner with Altenew Detail Blending Brushes.
I cut the other corner with a Nesting Slim Labels Die and left it white.
I used the next larger die to cut a piece of vellum and mounted the embossed label,
cut a small hole in the top and inserted the little bookmark in the pocket.
Thank you to Altenew for this opportunity to Guest Design for you.
I love this sweet set!
