Thanks for all your interesting, supportive, honest and touching comments this month. I appreciated receiving each and every one! Teh interwebs can be a wonderful place and an amazing way for people to connect whose paths would otherwise never cross. Aren't these grand times in which we live!

In 2014, fifty years after his death, Alan Turing finally received a royal pardon regarding the criminal conviction for "gross indecency" which so unjustly ruined his life. He is now rightly acknowledged as a hero of World War II and a leading scientific genius of the 20th century. We owe him a great debt of gratitude on both counts.

Welcome to the same-sex marriage club, America! What a great victory in the United States Supreme Court on Friday. What an amazing transformation has occurred in American society. There could not be a more perfect culmination of Pride Month!

To prevent a nation from withering and dying, its Constitution must be treated as a Living Tree, not as Dead Wood. It needs to speak to the present and the future, not the past. The majority of the US Supreme Court made that abundantly clear in its ground-breaking decision and they are absolutely right.

Celebrate, all of you who have worked so hard for this day! You deserve to party! U - S - GAY! U - S - GAY!

Every year my cat Her Royal Highness used to love producing a special Pussy Pride post for Translesbigayapalooza. And because she's not the kind of feline who lets a little thing like Death slow her down, here she is once again -- direct from the Afterlife -- ready to spread glitter and mayhem . . . may I present . . . HRH herself!

That's right, bitchez, I'm back and ready to kick ass! We cats are long-time supporters of the LGBT community, from the top rank of our species . . .

. . . right on down to the smallest household kitty!

Now some cats, it's true, freak out a bit until they learn better . . . 

. . . and yes, maybe a few cats can be homophobic jerks . . . 

. . . but, by and large, the rest of us cats enjoy living our fabulous lives supporting our LGBT humans.

Rainbow Rose

A few years ago on an anniversary, I gave My Rare One a rainbow rose! Have you ever seen one of these?

For the life of me, I could not figure out how each petal got to be a different colour. Then not too long ago, I saw this diagram and now all is clear. Starting with a white rose, the stem is sectioned, each end placed in a different dye and a different colour is thereby transferred to individual petals.

Rainbow roses may not occur in nature but they're still cool, eh?

A Glorious Summer Solstice to You!

Greetings to all sun worshippers! The longest day of the year is once again upon us, courtesy of the ancient Greek god Phoebus Apollo who drives his mighty Chariot of the Sun across the sky each day. Apollo is more than a sun god too -- he's also the god of music, prophecy, healing and poetry. Plus he's bisexual as fuck. Which makes him an appropriate deity to highlight during Translesbigayapalooza, doesn't it?

To bring more sunshine to your day, here's some contemporary images celebrating Apollo's ongoing popularity among those who have a discerning eye for divine male beauty --

Now, I know that final image looks suspiciously like Ryan Gosling. But this model for Apollo is actually Janie Junebug's beau, Willy Dunne Wooters, who is often featured at her blog Women: We Shall Overcome.
