Before and After at the Botanical Garden

We will be taking a short Blog Break to enjoy Christmas with Family and will return next Thursday, December 28th. 

 

 

 

 Today, on Nature Friday,we are going to give you a bit of a tease on a post coming up the first week of the New Year. 

 

 

The Botanical Gardens puts up a big display of holiday lights every year called the "River of Lights". The pawrents visited last week and saw some of the prettiest displays they have ever seen!

A few days before they visited the beautiful display, Mama visited the Gardens during the day and got some "before" pictures. It was gret tp be able to compare the "befores" with the "afters"!

Thankful for an Original Advent Calendar

This week, we wanted to say how thankful we were for an Advent Calendar with all our favorite goodies. I'm not  sure you know this or not, but Rosy and I are pretty picky about our treats. We don't eat too many crunchy treats, and really  prefer smaller, softer treats.This year, instead of buying a prepackaged Advent Calendar, Mama refilled our Advent Calendar from last year with our most favorite treats and some fun toys too!!

Here is a video Mama made  of us getting some of our Advent Treats!

We told Mama to squish twenty days into two minutes so she had to speed it up a little.

Model Train Extravaganza

 

Today, on a very happy Travel Tuesday, we are going to take a look at the Model Railway at the Moffat Train Museum!

There are two model train rooms in the museum. In the first room the pawrents explored, they found a replica of the Moffat Railway that was still being constructed.  

The pawrents were amazed at the detailing of the trees and landscape 

as they built the mountains.

The bridges and tunnels were also amazing.

Mama and Daddy are looking forward to visiting this exhibit again to see what it looks like when it's finished!

The other model train exhibit was their Christmas trains! 

A colorful amusement park, multiple trains and even airplanes populate this 1100sf room!

Mama was mesmerized by all the detailed scenes 

There was even a ski lift and a dried up lake!!!

The Hogwarts Castle nestled into the mountains gave Mama a giggle!

Nature Friday at the Bellagio

Happy Nature Friday, howliday style, part deux!

Today, we're going to look at pictures Mama took from the Bellagio during her trip to Las Vegas!

The Bellagio was still in Autumn mode when the pawrents were there,

 the theme this Autumn was "Enchantment"

There were mushrooms covered in pretty colored flowers...

Beautiful Faeries

..and gorgeous sunflowers!

It all looks very whimsical!

They had a couple of pretty stone cottages covered with flowers with windows that looked like butterfly wings.

A beautiful "Lady in the Moon" looked on from up above with her 

friend the owl.

Of course, there was a faerie princess. Look at the beautiful flowers covering her skirt!

It really does look like a beautiful view!

Thankful for Christmas Treats

This week, I am very thankful for Howliday treats!

My favorites include Zuke's Turkey Trees, Blue's Santa Snax 

and Mama even put some of our VERY favorite treats..Beggin' Strips

in our Advent Calendar this year!
