Today Is Sunday, December , 2023: This Is What Happened.

 

I've been doing small, odd things. For example, I am going through some photos on my laptop. So I'm going to take part in SUNDAY SECTION.

Plus, share my day so far. And my plans for the week.

Since I have AADD (Adult Attention Deficit Disorder), one of the tools I use is a timer. I set a several-minute timer and force myself to stay on a specific task. If I didn't do that, I would tend to wander off. I surely don't set it for hours. Which is unreasonable. Plus, it's unfair to me. I'm not saying it is a daily habit or thing.

I would like to put in 20 minutes of focus this upcoming week.

Took the trash out to the garage, and the third can is full. Got one more to fill up. There is a good chance we will make a dump run. Got a load of laundry done. Don't think any laundry will be done tomorrow. Did a few minutes on the treadmills. It sure is not walking weather. Yesterday, we got just under 9 inches of snow, or 22.86 cm.

Plus, it snows right now. According to the weather report, it should change into rain. It needs to warm up for that to happen. Looks like Tuesday and Wednesday it will be up in the 40s for 4.4c

One of the creative things on my list is to do more artist trading cards. Got three to take into TEASCARLET. And I will see if anyone is willing to swap two of my artist cards on a Facebook group.

I'm going to pay the car insurance tomorrow. Plus, I go see my therapist, drop off grocery bags of items at the thrift store, and stop at the store to get some things. Stayed home for the entire weekend. There is a 97.3 % chance I will get my COVID-19 vaccine updated before changing over to Medicaid. I'm on "Your Health Idaho" till the end of the month. This year, I got my flu and RSV shots.

I hope to get down to the Sandpoint library. Even Murphy can take care of my business. They have a book on their shelf I want to read, INDIAN KILLER, by Sherman Alexie.

I did a small order from Amazon, and it all went well, though. Some are my photos and down loads.

Today Is Friday, December 1, 2023: This Is What Happened.

 

It feels like Saturday. Over the date line, it’s Saturday. Almost 2024! This morning, I measured snow, 1½ inches, or those who use metric, 3.81. Plus, the trash is in the garage/shed and placed in cans. We have one more can to fill and then off to the dump. It will be sometime this month.

Did a load of laundry and some general pick-up. 

My health insurance is taken care of. I didn’t like what I heard. It’s what it is. Well, our income is too low to apply for YOUR HEALTH IDAHO. So it is on to MEDICAID. Which I’m not keen on. I am not sure if all state Medicaid is like Idaho. But Idaho can attach to any estate you might have once we are gone. Generally speaking, Idaho squaw on any federal program. The state didn’t want to participate in the “Affordable Care Act,” so they were forced to develop something. Plus, their site for your health in Idaho isn’t user-friendly. I’m so glad I only have 1 year, 2 months, and 11 days. I will be on Medicare. 

Murphy and I went to the senior center for lunch. They serve turkey and rice soup. It was delicious. Plus applesauce and a green salad. I had blue cheese dressing on mine.

Tuesday and Wednesday, they have a food giveaway. A little later on, I will have an orange I got from them.

Don’t recall when I started this mosaic page in my art journal. I am pleased with how it came out. For some reason, I like this photo of my grand Uncle, Archie. He is my grandfather’s brother on my mom’s side. I never meant him. He died before I was born. Plus, the only I know about him is that he farmed, had a family, and served in WWI as a machinist in the Navy.

Got the first part of my Christmas decoration up. I’m going to hang the Christmas cards on the lighted wire.

Today Is Wednesday, November 29, 2023: This Is What Happened.

 

Grumble, grumble, and grumble. It is about Amazon. I ordered some items from them. One of them is on the way. But I also ordered 4 items that are having issues. They asked me to do "Payment Revision Needed." I lost count of how many times I tried to update. It returns to my old credit card, which isn't in use. Plus, I remove all cards that are no longer in use.
Mid-November, I ordered from Amazon. No trouble at all.
Well, my order got canceled. Which is fine. I can look into it at my own pace.

Went to town and got pictures of my granduncle, Archie. He is part of the collage I'm doing. I will be sharing this upcoming Friday. I will send photos of Archie to my sons.
Then I went to look at Larson in Bonners Ferry and had time to kill. So, I looked at their toy section. Not overly impressed. Not saying I won't buy anything. To me, the best thing they had was the National Geographic toys.

Headed over to the group. I brought up art insight. We all share how our week went. We talked about handling anger and how we each handle it.

I went to Under The Sun, had lunch with my friend Qunella, and came home. Did a little cleaning in one back bedroom. Where all my creative supplies seemed to migrate. Got my first Christmas Card today.

Today Is Monday, November 27, 2023: This What Happened.

 

I have been practicing drawing cafe booth scenes. It took me a little time to figure out how to draw booth twin chairs. Tables are easy to do.

Got hold of Medicaid. I found out once both hubby and I crossed over. The state could grab onto our estate to pay any medical bills. I'm so glad I only have 1 year, 2 months, and 14 days before I can get Medicare.

So, I put my Medicaid on hold. I found out there is a possibility that I might be unable to sign up for it because our income is too low. I'd like financial help. Last year, the state gave me money toward my insurance, and I paid $65 for my health insurance. For the year of 2023. 

I don't know if this is a possibility. I hope something can be worked out that I end up paying around $5 a month for my premiums.

Hubby's birthday is today; he is 73 years old. I Slept weirdly last night; I really liked this DVD called, HUMBLE BEAUTY. Watch two YouTube videos by PROFESSOR GRAEME YORSTON. I found this one on PRINCESS ALICE interesting. She was Queen Elizabeth II's mother-in-law. I will walk around the place, check the mailbox, and have a piece of chocolate cake. And take a shower.

Today Is Sunday, November 26, 2023: This Is What Happened.

Quite Sunday. Most of my days are quiet. I recall a time when I thought a calm day was boring. Just went through a box of loose playing cards. Most of them were short a card or so. So, the majority of playing cards end up in the trash. I saved some to use creatively.

Made a list in my bullet journal of creative things and chores. Not all will get completed. But last week, I did manage to achieve these goals

1. Found my Christmas cards.

2. Clean the ladder and get it up. Didn’t do this by myself.

3. The roof is fixed.

4. Clean off the coffee table.

Now for this week's chores. I doubt that I will complete the first three. But I can put time into going forward. There is a good chance of achieving four through seven.

1. After 15 minutes of cleaning time in one bedroom, I tossed my creative supplies in. 

2. 15 minutes of cleaning in the garage.

3. 15 minutes of general cleaning.

4. Photo of my Great Uncle Archie. Which I will use in a mosaic piece I have been working on.

5. Keep on Idaho Health.

6. Ship Advent Calendar.

7. Christmas /Card/ Tree/ Photo

Then, of course, there is my creative side. Here is a list of that.

1. Work on a book I made in my “Art Insight Group.” I can see completing 2 on this list, like A.T.C Cards and writing a letter to a pen pal. I can get a stab at the other five.

2. Spiritual book.

3. A.T.C Cards.

4. Write a letter to a pen pal.

5. Finish this book.

6. Quilt.

7. Embroidery.

I will be calling the Idaho Start Recovery Department. To see exactly what property they can attach when joining the Medicaid program.

I heard the state doesn’t attach anything untell one moves into a nursing facility. But I need to make sure. I don’t like the possibility of the state being in charge of my estate. I know there is a strong chance that I will end up on Medicaid. But I don’t want to do it this soon in my life.

I don't know what else I will do tomorrow.

Did a load of laundry today. Made the bed and moved some firewood.

Today Is Saturday, November 25, 2023: This Is What Happened.

 

I'm wondering why I woke up at four on the twenty-fourth morning. I felt rested. Went to bed around nine at night. But later in the day, it hit me. Felt tired and worn out. Plus, I gave myself permission to be lazy.

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. If I count right, there were 16 there. My husband was the oldest; there will be 73 on Monday, And my granddaughter Wendy is the youngest at five.

Plenty of food to eat. But what I enjoyed the most was how much joy it brought me. Wendy and another little boy were there. Who was a couple weeks older than Wendy. How they react to each other. They drew pictures and chatted away. I have no idea what they even talk about. What do five-year-olds talk about? But they were thrilled and happy with each other.

I went to art-insight today. It was on Wednesday evening at Pearl. But now she is having it on Saturday. I like supporting the Pearl as much as I can. But the lighting could be better. Mostly when one working on visual art. The lighting at Rawlings is much better.

Had fun! Start by discussing how a person has negative thoughts about themselves. But one can develop a positive way of thinking.

But I wonder why people put certain things in their art pieces. I don't know if one can see this in my own art. There is a telephone, nail file, and sidewalk. The telephone represents communication, and the nail file means smoothing out rough edges. And then the sidewalk is a safe place to walk, or it should be. I like using AUNT FLO. Sometimes, I want to look up things I did in art and see what they come up with.

So let's see what PHONE, NAIL FILE, and then SIDE WALK.

After art, I went and got my RSV vaccine. I don't know how many in my area are getting seasonal vaccines. There choice.

After that, I went to pick up some groceries. And advent calendars for my granddaughters. Will send them off in the first part of the week.

Today Is Wednesday, November 22, 2023: This Is What Happened.

Hubby somewhat irritates me at times. He asked me the other day if the train stops in Corvallis, Oregon. This Is what I told him. After you get on the train in Portland, Oregon. The first stop would be Corvallis after leaving Portland.

The last thing I did before I started to type out today's post was to work on my story. Question time... When Sophie got to her new homeland (Planet), Should she have had contact with her daughter and what kind of contact in the future once she arrived in Ovtor.

This is what I wrote...Although Sophie was far from perfect. There was no way she had any evil in her. But the mother of Edlina wondered about her one and only daughter, Who she knew wouldn't make the cut to take the trip to Ovtor.

It was clear why her daughter couldn't migrate to the new planet. She was a danger to most of society. 

Her love for her daughter was not to be questioned. There were things she felt she needed to bring up to the board."

Clean off the coffee table and under it. Quite a few items weren't any good. They end up being tossed out. The other thing I wanted to do today was to work on my quilt and my book, FINISH THIS BOOK. I got hooked and watched some YouTube videos by PROFESSOR GRAEME YORSTON.

I doubt that I will get my quilt until after Thanksgiving. But I may work on my book.

Today Is Tuesday, November 21, 2023: This Is What Happened.

This morning, I watched a documentary on Edvard Munch, the artist. The main feature of his painting is the scream. Also, I like to share a painting before and after the scream.

Which is the storm, than he did the scream, and the Vampire.

I hope I’m moving forward on my” Your Idaho Health.” I talked to someone for the state. It sounds like I have someone reasonably new on the job. There were things she couldn’t answer, like the state recovery program. Some of the Idaho Medicaid programs can put a lean against your property. I would like to know which program, But she gave me the recovery department phone number. I will call them this coming Monday.

Murphy and I went to the senior center for lunch. The main dish was sweet and sour pork over rice. Plus, on Tuesday and Friday, they had a food giveaway. This time, it was pretty good. We got 2 dozen eggs, some chicken strips, yogurt, pomegranate arils, etc.

Not sure what arils are.

Well, Poet was there and said she was wrecked yesterday. Well, before I continue on. Poet can be dramatic.

She claimed she hit her head during an accident on the side window in a vehicle. I am not sure if there is any truth to it. See, she has no bruise mark on her face or swelling either. She was talking about how she felt dizzy and seeing double. A friend would take her to the local hospital’s emergency room. But when she stood, she sort of passed out. Got her on a chair. Someone called 911 to request paramedics. They came quickly, and the ambulance came less than 5 minutes apart. Took her over to the hospital. I can tell you her blood pressure was up. Other than that, I know nothing.

Other things got done today. Already mention the state I worked on my short story called “Ovtor.” here is the last paragraph: “So, on Tuesday late afternoon. Sophie received a sky buzz. She had an appointment with the Sharvon board this Friday at 10 AM. 

She became antsy. She was wondering who they, as in board, would prove to go.”

Plus, I put air in my car tire, drove it to the end of Julian Rd, turned around, and came home. This car has issues and isn’t worth fixing.

The only thing I could do is. Clean up after dinner tonight. Plus, pomegranate arils in cottage cheese are outstanding!

Today Is Monday, November 20, 2023: This Is What Happened.

 

I started to assemble my scrappy quilt. The hardest part was refilling the bobbin. I kept getting it wrong. Well, it is filled now.
Went to the senior center for exercise class and lunch. They had soup, and it was really good.
After Gun Smoke, we will get the Christmas boxes. We have 2 boxes full of Holiday Cheer. One of the boxes got my cards in.

Today Is Sunday, November 19, 2023: This Is What Happened.

 

Yesterday, I felt like I needed to do something other than posting. That's fine. I'm slowly getting photos taken care of on my laptop. At random, I will share some older photos. I went through it. Last Sunday, I participated in SUNDAY SELECTION. I wonder if I'm the only American who participates. I was trying to figure out how far I'm from the international date line.

I got my week plan out. I like to work on the garage and back bedroom. I do better if I set a timer when I'm cleaning. Or projects. I drift away and wonder about it. Sure, there are some other smaller projects on my list. Like, keep on Idaho Health insurance. When it comes to bureaucracy, a lot of the time, I feel like tossing up my hands. But medical bills here in the United States can ruin a person's life.

I've been watching a set of DVDs called "The Private Life Of A Masterpiece" it has been fascinating and informative.

Later on, I will have a piece of German Chocolate cake.

Today Is Friday, November 17, 2023: This Is What Happened.

 

Let’s start out with a Confession time... I’m horrible at doing invites. My sister-in-law is having Thanksgiving dinner Next Thursday down in Post Falls.

Want to include Bart’s in-laws. How does one who is not hosting extend an invite? This is somewhat stressful.

I hope they all can come.

Yesterday, I took Regis to Sandpoint. We went to the library, and both picked up DVDs. Then we stopped in a little café and had pie. Regis had pumpkin with whip topping. For me, I had a heated piece of Rhubarb pie. Then, we headed over to the toy store in Cedar Street Mall. Regis did get something. I call the store a rich Grandma store. Kids’ clothes, well, some of them. It is in the $50 plus range.

Then we went to the Good Will. I found a tarot deck. Which is based on Jane Austen. And I found a flower-press. Open it, and looks like it has been barely used. I remember pressing flowers when I was younger.

After the Good Will. We notice an antique store on the street corner. Decided to take a look through it. Both of us came out empty-handed.

The last stop was Walmart. For me, it was practical items. Spend around $30.

My anxiety has been up a bit today. One is over “Your Idaho Health.” It is a royal pain in a donkey. I will apply for Medicaid. I guess one can’t argue with city hall.

I found out Bart and one of his daughters is showing up for Thanksgiving. His wife and his other daughter aren’t coming. It bothers me that they are not coming along. Their oldest daughter, my oldest granddaughter, is on the Autism spectrum or neurodivergent. I know loud noise and crowds can be overwhelming for her, Claudia.

I know what it feels like to be excluded. It bothers me when someone is excluded or shunned. I know there is nothing I can do. Plus, I’m only guessing.

Murphy and I went to the senior center. They serve their Thanksgiving dinner. Pie and all.
