My Apologies, Everyone!
I was doing some blog indexing cleanup today and it seems the relabeling and republishing-on-the-original-date feature doesn't work on super old posts, so about half a dozen of mine got republished as of today's date. They'll show up in your blog reader list but have been taken down from my blog.
Sorry for the annoyance!
Regular (correct) posting resumes tomorrow, LOL!

So my stats counter says
this blog has now received
70,000 comments
since its start almost
14 years ago in 2008.
Yowza!
Thanks to everyone who has
ever commented over the years!
And special thanks to
all you regular commenters!
I read and enjoy every comment
that is published!
And I appreciate that all you commenters
are so civil and well-behaved.
Your comments are always
intelligent, thought-provoking,
insightful and often very funny!
Yes, every once in awhile,
there will be a minor
brouhaha or contretemps
in the comments section --
But even that is not without its fun.
Of course, it's pretty much
always the same commenter
behind the flying fur (so to speak)
and I think we all know who that is.
But even HRH's contributions towards
reaching this 70,000 milestone
are appreciated!

A Little Blogging Break
I'm basically taking August off for a little R&R and travel. I will still post my August Full Moon Altar contribution later this month, but that's about it. I'll be back to regular blogging in September!

Time for a New Blog Header!
Over the course of my blog's 12+ years' existence,
I've only had two blog headers.
Isn't it great? Squeeeeeee!
This was designed for me by
Linda of Life and Linda
who offers blog design and services
at her site My Fairy Blog Mother.
Highly recommended!
Thanks, Linda!

You Hate, I Hate, We All Hate . . . New Blogger!
Does your draft insert a double blank line every time you hit "return"? Louise at Standing Into Danger has the solution -- click here to read her post!
And apparently, there IS STILL a way to revert to Legacy Blogger, although it involves a few steps to accomplish. Two excellent explanations of the process are found here at Leanna's blog Can We Have A New Witch, Ours Melted and here at Mike's blog Billions of Versions of Normal.
I haven't tried it myself yet but will do so soon, especially if I can't get a solution to this problem --
I have New Blogger more or less figured out except for one thing -- GIFS. Does anyone out there know how to insert them into a New Blogger draft post? Copy and paste does not seem to work anymore, nor does putting them into my photos file and uploading from there. Help a sister out, LOL!

Running Off With The Unicorns
Yes, I know I said I'd be back to
regularly-scheduled blogging in August.
But I'm not ready to end
my blogging break yet!
So I'm running off with the unicorns
for another month!
This is how I'll be safely spending
my time here at home --
➤ Drinking more coffee.
➤ Eating healthy, nutritious meals.
➤ Baking more goodies.
(Speaking of baking, this is where
sprinkles come from, you know.)
➤ Watching more TV.

➤ Continuing to read more actual books!
➤ Enjoying summer's sunshine and warmth!
(Thanks, Mitchell of Moving With Mitchell,
for letting me use your fab photo!)
➤ Basking in glorious sunsets while
sitting on my balcony.
(Yes, I know that technically this isn't
a unicorn cut-out, but it SHOULD BE!)
No need to fear for me,
or wonder where I am,
or what I'm doing,
or put up "Lost" posters to find me . . . .
HRH and I
will be
just fine!
But I intend to pop back in
every Wednesday or so
with a new post just to
keep from getting rusty!

See You in August!
Her Royal Highness the Cat tells me
that it's time to take a little break.
"You're getting even duller, more
boring and repetitious than ever,"
she purred at me the other night.
"You need to pause, refresh, and
read a few books for a change.
You need to follow MY good example."
So I've decided to do exactly that.
I'm going to take July off from blogging,
sit out on my balcony, and
read some ACTUAL BOOKS!
NOT JUST
Steve 'n Bucky
fanfiction online,
fanfiction online,
I promise.
And I'll also be . . .
