Teton skies
Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Holidays! I am not sure if Skywatch is happening this week but I will post my skywatch photos just in case.
This week's skywatch I am continuing my Yellowstone-Tetons theme from my previous two post. I have some shots I took of the Tetons. Two are views of the Teton mountains from the road and one is from our Jenny lake hike. We have taken the boat ride across the lake to do the hike to the waterfall and we have also taken the hike around the lake. The scenery is just awesome, another reason why I love this place so much.
The sky was a pretty blue with just some white puffy clouds around. A great day for a hike.
To see some more wonderful skywatch photos go to Skywatch Friday
Thanks for visiting my blog and checking out my Teton skies. Also, thanks to the hosting team of Sylvia, Sandy, Wren, Louise, Klaus, and Fishing Guy.

Snake River float trip
During one of our Yellowstone-Tetons trip we took a Snake River float trip. The float trip was a calm trip there was no on the white water on this part of the Snake River. This was fine with me even though my hubby many years ago use to be a white water rafting guide on the Cheat River in WV. He likes the exciting fast moving rivers. I thought a calm float trip would be a great way to see wildlife along the river. We did see a large group of White Pelicans and some Bald Eagles in the treetops along the river.
I was expecting to see a moose or elk but no luck there. It was still fun and a great trip we stopped along the way to have a lunch and enjoy the view of the mountains and river.

Yellowstone Scenic Sunday
Camera Critters now follows my Scenic Sunday
This is one of my favorite spots in Yellowstone. I just love the winding river. As you can see the trees have been burned from one of the Yellowstone fires. It is still a beautiful scene.
Thanks for stopping by to view my Yellowstone Scenic Sunday and to see more great scenes go and visit the Holley's at Scenic Sunday

Teton Grizzly
I have said before that I love Yellowstone and the Tetons and seeing the wildlife there is awesome. During our last trip we had an awesome sighting of the Grizzly bear in the Tetons National park. We had just left the lodge after checking out some female moose and her young when we sighted the Grizzly crossing the road. We were actually able to watch it strolling along for what seemed like a good amount of time. We were just about the only people there until maybe one other car drove into the parking lot.
Bears are my favorite critters and it was a cool experience to see this Grizzly. Thanks for stopping by my blog and to see more cute critters go and visit Misty Dawn at camera-critters

Hike to the waterfall..Scenic Sunday
Camera Critters follows my Scenic Sunday
My hubby and I saw a lot while in Maui, on one day we hiked to a waterfall. The trail took us thru a bamboo forest. I could not believe that bamboo grew so tall. I am just sorry I was not into birding as I am now. I am sure I passed many birds along that trail. The scenery was so lush and pretty.
Looking back at the road to Hana, Maui. The road was miles of scenic beauty.

Safari Wildlife Park for Camera Critters
During our vacation in Ohio we stopped at a Wildlife Safari Park. It is located in Port Clinton not too far from Cedar Point amusement park. This is a safari that you drive your car thru and you can feed the animals that are close to your car.
Unlike Disney's Animal Kingdom where they drive you thru and you do not feed the animals. A warning these animals are looking for food and will stick their heads way into the cars to get the food.
A Giraffe has really long neck and can really reach far places. I managed to take some pic's of the animals that were at the car in front of us and all around us.
This is my entry for this week's Camera Critters and to see more wonderful critters go and visit Misty Dawn at Camera Critters

Las Vegas
These are some my snaps of Las Vegas. It is a very scenic place where else can you go and see New York, Venice, Egypt all in one stop. I do not like to gamble but Las Vegas has a lot to offer the traveler. The lights at night are beautiful and just amazing on the strip. The restaurants are wonderful too. The Paris has a great breakfast buffet, I would highly recommend this buffet.
Each hotel has some kind of free attraction and some for a fee. The MGM had lions,
Mirage had tigers and even dolphins, the Flamingo had some cool birds,
New York New York had a rollar coaster.
the Luxor had a King Tut museum
Bellagio had a cool fountain and a Botantical Conservatory,
Venetian had gondola ride on their canals,
Paris had the Eifel tower, Caesars palace had talking statues of the Roman Gods,
Treasure Island puts on a cool pirate show.
We stayed almost a week and two of the days we rented a car... one day we drove to the Grand Canyon and the other day to Zion and Bryce National Parks. I think I should quit my day job and become a travel agent. I love to travel and we try to go somewhere different every year.
