Week 39, the quiet one

It's been a week of the calm between two storms, I've been relaxing at home after my break with the family, and garnering strength for a trip to Devon next week. The girls were a bit upset about not being taken on our break, so they've all been outside playing amongst the flowers.

Week 38, the one with a few very wet and windy days at Center Parcs

The outdoor shots really don't give any indication of how wet it actually was.

The sunflower in the yarden when we returned might give you a better idea.

Why is it that I can't remember to take a container out with me when I go for a walk, I'm definitely missing out on those free berries?

Week 36, the one with a couple of outings

The first outing was just across the county border into Somerset to visit the remains of Farleigh Hungerford Castle

The second outing was closer to home. Not far from here, the Avon River crossing is usually very busy, as it's the easiest route from this side of town into Bath. However, with a new water main pipe being fitted, the road is closed to through traffic, so we were able to walk down and have a look at the river, the bridge, the site of the old watermill, and a few other things that caught my eye.

The sunflower that I lovingly grew from seed is done and dusted, but a bunch of self seeded ones have grown to be rather magnificent. GM took the photo of me, I'd actually asked him to be in the photo, but he chose not to.
